You're right, hindsight is sparking this convo. However, plotting a graph of his performances against output would reveal an usual curve. Bro, he was just popping up with vital goals (winners) without hitting his usual high standards performance-wise. And recall that he was already in his 30s. It was like an unseen force possessed him in order to win a last PL title and bow out on a high.
