If West Ham go down, they will sell Bowen for sure, his contract is high for Championship, and he would be a perfect opportunity to have an experienced all round attacker, who knows the league very well.
He can play as a number 9, he can be on the wings, I am all in.

@jmatipfanclub Put a proper defensive structure in front of him and he can easily replicate what Thiago Silva did and play at a top level till 40.

I know he’s declining, but I think we’ve reached the stage where people underrate Virgil van Dijk now. He’s nowhere near as washed as people think

@DFakExGoalanke It’s funny because at times we’ve been at the top of goals scored from set pieces yet I agree we don’t coach them well.
I feel like it’s always been an odds thing that we get enough set pieces so a couple are bound to go in.

And yet I'd say attacking set pieces is the biggest regret of his career. We never coached them well and he never attacked them enough. Could've been 150

Van Dijk with his 75th career goal yesterday btw. He’s already in the upper echelons of goalscoring CBs.He's now only behind the top 7 (Koeman, Passarela, Ramos, Hierro, Beckenbauer,Blanc, SteveBruce) who all took pens, freekicks,& played fullback,midfield (sweeper/stopper roles)

People are in for a rude awakening when they realise that we're going to head into next season needing to find an extra 40-50 league goals next season.

Slot made minor tweaks to well drilled team and system, it was the same system that suited Mo. It all fell apart when Mo's form dipped last season and Slot hasnt been able to fix it with his own ideas. The dots are clear to see and easy to connect

With what Arsenal are in the process of potentially doing, can we knock this ‘ well he won it with Klopp’s team’ thing on the head? They got over the line. Was no real jeopardy after about mid January. It still needed doing and we got it done.

But hypothetically, do you not think a manager change to an Alonso or Enrique would bring out the best in Elliott?

@_callmelana_lfc Maybe calling him not elite is harsh, maybe some of it is that his pens don't always fill me with confidence.
Kane and Salah have both apparently missed 13 penalties, Salah got there in 56 while it took Kane 105. Would you class them the same?

@TaintlessRed Don't disagree at all, difficult season for the players, throw in a contract renewal, no stable fullback to build a partnership and his dad passing away. You can see why performances dropped.
Having a capable CB to rotate with would've helped get him out of the spotlight.

I personally want Konate to stay. I know he's not had a great season (but twenty players haven't either) and we know the level he can perform at. Plus he's 26, replacing someone of his age profile and experience is very expensive and difficult. Fixing midfield will help CBs a lot

My biggest pet peeve with this team is the lack of a press, how often do we see centre backs walking into the middle of the pitch and picking out a 30-yard ball or a player receiving the ball at their feet with time in the middle/edge of the box?
