It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of our beloved little Zoe, who passed away last night. She had a soft egg stuck, and despite immediate vet care, she passed.

@TardisParrot Yes, we have two flock members these days and are in the same situation. At one time we had 14! That was over the course of over 25 years. Don’t know how we’d do without at least one feathered friend in our lives. So sorry for your sad loss.

@TardisParrot @Georgieboysmum We had 14 birds at one time and now we’re down to two. Understand how you’re feeling. We don’t want pets who could outlive us. Then again, not sure I would like to not always have at least one bird friend in my life.

Must be strong for the remaining flock members. It is hard to believe there were 23 at one point. Now just 3. No more as getting too old and must be responsible for when I am gone. 26, 45 and 32 years old.

Thank you to everyone who has sent thoughts and love on the loss of my Henry. I do not use this platform much anymore and was not expecting much response. I thought a few old friends would want to know. I am blown away but incredibly sad she has gone. I loved this birdie so much.

This is what killed my baby. That egg was so big she just could not lay it. Female birds have so much to cope with. Please look after them especially and keep their calcium levels adequate. I am lost, my heart bird is gone.
