But Would you believe me if I told you that your number one enemy in the dating pool as a man is not women, but men? You are asking, “How?” Well, the only reason you would get sh*tty post-date attitude from a woman because you requested that the bill be split is because the woman is absolutely certain that there are men out there who would never make such a request of her - men who would fund her getting out of the house, her time outside, and her return. Therefore, the woman is not raging because she split bills with a man. She is raging because, out of all the options she believes exist, she went out with the one man who asked to split bills. The problem is not the you who asked to split the bill. The problem is her miscalculation of you as the other kind of men that exists, the kind she would rather go on a date with. And that hurts her. Her frustration is comperative not financial. So you've not done wrong for asking to split bills, but for failing to be like the other kinds of men. Your enemy in the dating pool as a man is not women, but your fellow men. Because ( and fuck, they say I write too long and it is happening again) women do not set standards; they test standards. What passes becomes acceptable. A woman is, at base, a test: a test of a man’s discipline, patience, boundaries, standards, and leadership. The outcome of that test reflects the man, not the woman. So if a woman is mad about sharing date bills, it is because she knows there are men who accept not sharing date bills. Women cannot independently decide dating culture because they are less agentic and more incentive-driven and, therefore, cannot enforce standards in male-female dynamics where men are the natural and reliable incentive providers, and women are more inclined toward dependency - unless men themselves accept those standards. Women respond to incentives and possibilities created by men. This is to say that, Women cannot decide whether date bills should be shared or not. That power ultimately remains with men. Women do not set standards. However, there are many men with porous standards, and because it is an evolutionary imperative for women to test standards, those men offer compliance and acceptance to the standards women, through their dispositions, propose. And with this, you become scapegoated for simply holding your own standards. Your enemy in the dating pool as a man is not women, but your fellow men. It is not the women who cross lines that reshape the culture. It is the men who cannot hold their line.

Maintain healthy relationships!!!! We are called to a well-rounded life.

I like women a lot. And one of the things I like about them is how ruthless and selfish they are when it comes to what they want. I saw a controversial tweet on the TL where one lady asked why men are obsessed with going to a woman’s house, and a guy quoted it with, “I’m not gonna lie. It’s so much easier to leave your home than it is to get y’all to leave ours.” So here is the thing: there is no universe where a woman will allow you to overstay your welcome at her house. She will not cuddle your feelings. She will not mince words. She will give you only one hint, and once you don’t get it, she will straight up tell you to leave because she needs her space. It is men who will be lying about having meetings, going to work, giving 101 hints that they want you to leave. Women don’t have time for that BS. It doesn’t matter the kind of relationship she has with you, if you spend more than a night or, at most, two nights, the irritation on her face alone is enough to tell you that your stay is no longer welcome. It is the same thing they do when they no longer like you or didn’t even like you from the beginning at all. A woman who doesn’t like you will reject you in the most strict and obvious manner, but men, on the other hand, will be feeling bad and trying so hard to be subtle about it so she doesn’t feel bad. Women don’t have time for that. No matter how ruthless you think you are as a man, you can never top a woman’s ruthlessness. They know how to choose themselves unapologetically. Learn from them.
