@NatWag1 @SwimCoachAlex This could happen, but it has not been my experience. If the salary range given is honest and it appears too low for a given applicant, then it IS too low for that applicant. My opinion is that being vague about the salary just wastes everyone’s time.

@SwimCoachAlex @SwimmingWizrd However, it might be the case that the club is willing to pay well for the right person, and specifying a salary range might deter potential applicants if it appears too low. Personally, I wouldn’t dismiss a job just because the salary isn’t listed in the advertisement.

“Coach’s salary will be commensurate with experience” might as well say “we don’t pay well but don’t want to admit it in this job ad.”

@SwimmingWizrd In my last job hunt I made a point of skipping past any post with this line. A range should be required info to post at ASCA and SwimSwam job boards.
