@NFLFrascella Exactly why ESPN pushes people like first take and Stephen A Smith and Pat Mcafee. Real analytical guys right there
English

Just my 2 cents... Ryan Clark practices a style of 'Journalism' which is really just Sensationalism... just my opinion, this style is a relic of a time gone by... I think NFL consumers nowadays want value-add ANALYSIS they can either agree or disagree with, respectfully & professionally... they wanna feel like they are listening to a smart buddy...
Not someone looking to divide the audience.
Warren Sharp@SharpFootball
apparently this factored into the Ryan Clark firing Clark: "That’s the non-player in you" Schrager: "Don’t belittle me like that, I can come & say as 3 ex-players are saying one thing & give an alternative perspective” Clark: “What I need for you to do is not get mad & let me finish for once”
English

@RealMamaEagle Cowboys fans standards for the team and Dak get lower and lower the longer they don’t make an NFCCG
English

@thomasrp93 Hope he comes back healthier and better but this should be a crucial year for him long term.
English

Cam Jurgens on having surgery after winning the Super Bowl:
"You get surgery and then you don't have any of that offseason to train and you're just behind the 8-ball"
Said he's feeling a lot better going into this season.
#Eagles via Eagles

English

@tagryn101 @Phila1776ers @ZBerm @TheAthletic Progress isn’t making a superbowl one year and getting knocked out the next. It’s an inconsistent pattern. The eagles did not build off a single thing they did well offensively in 24’ going into 25’ and took a step back from 22’ into 23’. If Nick can’t contribute, he’s got to go
English

@SwoopsCheese @Phila1776ers @ZBerm @TheAthletic Making the playoffs every year isn't a "rollercoaster." But, as GA put it: "There’s good days, bad days, so days you are able to be successful — some days you’re not. Some days it’s your turn, some days it’s not your turn. That’s what sports is about. You don’t always win..."
English

Nick Sirianni explored ChatGPT this offseason in keeping the message fresh entering Year 6.
He also knows the Eagles could create their own answers.

English

@mailmanloco @ZBerm @TheAthletic Not a single strategic football advantage was listed here that Nick contributes
English

@SwoopsCheese @ZBerm @TheAthletic Makes the playoffs every season he coaches, elite winning percentage under his tenure, NFC East champions 3 of the 5 years he's been a head coach, advances to two Super Bowls, wins a Super Bowl.
English

@tagryn101 @Phila1776ers @ZBerm @TheAthletic Never said that every year that doesn’t end in a SB is a failure. But progress also shouldn’t look like a rollercoaster each year. With Nick at HC, it has been. Bc offensive and team success has nothing to do with him and everything to do w/ the OCs the team brings in each year.
English

@SwoopsCheese @Phila1776ers @ZBerm @TheAthletic Ah, yes: "any season that doesn't end with a world championship is a total failure." Well, counterpoint: "...you work towards a goal — it’s not a failure... Michael Jordan played 15 years, won six championships. The other nine years was a failure?” from: sbnation.com/nba/2023/4/27/…
English

@tagryn101 @Phila1776ers @ZBerm @TheAthletic But its not working. It didn’t work in 25’, 23’, or in 21’. The team has been first round exits 3 of the 5 years he’s been HC. Including losing 6 of their last 7 in 23’ and refusing to fire his buddy in 25’ despite it not working.
English

@SwoopsCheese @Phila1776ers @ZBerm @TheAthletic If all he is *is* a "locker room guy and a player's coach" as you put it - given his win %, he's the greatest one in NFL history. Just because his critics don't understand how important team chemistry is, not really his or Howie's to have to explain as long as it keeps working.
English

@Phila1776ers @ZBerm @TheAthletic We’d know if Nick called plays, he’d have a playsheet in his hands on Sundays. We know when he makes OC hires cause they’re always internal. We know he doesn’t make good mid season adjustments cause we saw it in 23’ and 25’. And his scheme is horrible that’s why Sean was hired
English

@SwoopsCheese @ZBerm @TheAthletic How would either one of us know that? I’m gonna trust Jeff Lurie, Howie Roseman and the players judgement. They all have high praise for Nick
English

@Phila1776ers @ZBerm @TheAthletic That’s a great resume. What are 3 football strategic things that he’s contributed throughout that run besides being a locker room guy and a players coach?
English

@SwoopsCheese @ZBerm @TheAthletic Except maybe the fact he’s made the playoffs every year, has been to two Super Bowls and won one, and he has the 4th highest winning percentage for a head coach in NFL history
English

@SportsRadioWIP So if this is the Nick Sirianni show and nothing fundamentally changes this upcoming szn with the offense, Nick Sirianni should get the blame
English

@dre_1001 @TheRealACF @lord_brunson Reading comprehension is hard I guess, there’s a difference between “as” and “isl and again hurts has been one of the best pocket passers since he’s entered the league
English

@SwoopsCheese @TheRealACF @lord_brunson Hurts isn't a pure pocket passer🤣 there's not a professional evaluator in the league that would agree. 🤣
English

Why couldn't Dak win with Kellen Moore? But Jalen could?

Angry Cowboys Fan@TheRealACF
@lord_brunson I guess last year wasn't Kevin Patullo's fault, either, right?
English

@dre_1001 @TheRealACF @lord_brunson Dak ran 53 times for 177 yards and 2 TDs last year. That’s slightly less than what he was doing earlier in his career and far less than what hurts does on average.
English

@SwoopsCheese @TheRealACF @lord_brunson He's now starting to run more. He's even talked about running more when needed.
English

@dre_1001 @TheRealACF @lord_brunson Right, but you said he could run if he wanted to and in the very next reply gave reasons why he can’t run anymore
English

@SwoopsCheese @TheRealACF @lord_brunson No he wasn't the same runner after the injures, but before that he was a dual threat qb. . That' s exactly what he did. He first got hurt running. Dak and the staff made a conscious effort to hold him back from running after the injures. That's been reported.
English

@dre_1001 @TheRealACF @lord_brunson You’ve still yet to explain a logical reason as to why before the 23’ season the cowboys head coach emphasized that he would be running the football as a core part of the game while doing the complete opposite in the 23’ season
English

@SwoopsCheese @TheRealACF @lord_brunson Dak and Jerry had nothing to do with. WTF are getting Jerry and Dak. You're making up crazy shit in your mind. The fact the run game wasn't effective you change course
English

@dre_1001 @TheRealACF @lord_brunson As a pure pocket passer, Hurts has been one of the best in the league the last few years. But he can also run. It wouldn’t serve Kellen nor the eagles to only unlock half of Hurts. Philly has been a notoriously run heavy team the last few years which includes the QB.
English

@SwoopsCheese @TheRealACF @lord_brunson 2/2 Jalen is a better athlete. But as a pure leader passer, those two are better. Kellen leaned into those guys strength because it fit his philosophy. He changed in Philly. Yall were criticizing him early on for not running the ball too.
English

@dre_1001 @TheRealACF @lord_brunson Dak couldn’t run if he wanted to. Hes had 2 serious leg injuries in his career so far. (Hamstring and ankle). Another serious one would honestly put his career in jeopardy. As far hurts, he’s objectively been one of the best pocket passers and deep ball throwers the last 4 years.
English

@SwoopsCheese @TheRealACF @lord_brunson 1/2 Dak could run if he wanted. He was a dual threat qb all through college and came in the league that way. Jalen is a limited qb in the passing game if you're being honest. Dak and Herbert are better throwers and processors than Jalen.
English

@SwoopsCheese @TheRealACF @lord_brunson Exactly, it's not his game, So Kellen had to adjust his playcalling style. Which was something he didn't do in Dallas
