Cuba is not in a crisis because it is communist or has an authoritarian government, it’s having a catastrophic humanitarian crisis because the United States is carrying out an illegal siege against the island with the goal of starving and killing thousands for financial gain.

They did not run. They stayed. They fought. Today, they are buried in Artsakh. Their families endured more than nine months of blockade, starvation, and the near-total absence of medical care, surrounded and cut off by Azerbaijan. In the end, more than 100,000 Armenians were ethnically cleansed from their lands. Driven from their homes in scenes that echo the forced marches of our ancestors to Der Zor. And still, Nikol Pashinyan and his government refer to them as “runaways.”

#Hama: After searching thoroughly, we obtained the full clip of Hama Health Director Dr. Nazih al-Ghawi. The incident took place at a “Ramadan tent” set up by members of the Sunni community in the center of Hama city three weeks ago. A citizen complained that there was lax attendance among doctors at the National Hospital in Hama, with some not staying until the end of their shift. He also noted that he waited three months to secure a spot for his aunt’s catheterization and implant surgery. (Note from our team at Syria Justice Archive: The National Hospital in Hama is located in the city center, where the majority of residents are Sunni. As such, the hospital’s medical staff is, by default, largely drawn from the city’s own population.) 🔹The Hama Health Director’s response, as we reported, was: “Even if I have to replace the entire health sector, I will replace it, just be patient with me, I just need some time.” “There is no magic wand to tell them all ’go home, each one of you to your house, close the hospitals, close the complex, close the #Sqaylabiyah hospital, and #Salamiyah, and #Masyaf.” “Just give me a little time, if I don’t get all the doctors to resign and bring you a new team, hold me accountable.” Notably, although the citizen’s complaint was specifically about the National Hospital in Hama city, the Health Director responded by listing hospitals in towns located in the rural outskirts of the governorate: Suqaylabiyah, Salamiyah, and Masyaf, all of which are cities predominantly inhabited by religious minorities. As we noted: Suqaylabiyah is a Christian city, Salamiyah is an Ismaili city, and Masyaf is a mixed Ismaili-Alawite city. No complaints have been filed against any of them or their medical staff. The meeting itself was held in Hama city. 🔹In the context of this incident: On March 3rd of this year (2026), 107 doctors were dismissed from hospitals and health centers in Latakia, the vast majority of whom were from the Alawite community. x.com/syjusticearc/s… Two days later, the Latakia Health Directorate announced via its official Facebook page that it was seeking to contract doctors and employees who had previously been dismissed solely due to their revolutionary participation, meaning, in effect, that it was recruiting Sunni doctors. Dispite that no comparable mass dismissals had occurred under the previous regime, contrary to what the current administration is attempting to promote. x.com/syjusticearc/s… Furthermore, in most directorates where staff were dismissed in Latakia and Tartus, the dismissed employees were replaced by workers brought in from other governorates. The dismissals were therefore not due to any staffing surplus, but were carried out purely for the purpose of replacement. Even the ports of Tartus and Latakia now have workforces drawn predominantly from Idlib, Aleppo, and Homs, rather than from the local population of those governorates.

#Hama: The Hama Health Director appointed by Al-Jolani promises Sunni citizens in a local council to dismiss doctors and medical staff from hospitals and health centers in areas with religious minority majorities He said: “Even if I have to replace the entire health sector, I will replace it, just be patient with me, I just need some time.” “There is no magic wand to tell them all ’go home, each one of you to your house, close the hospitals, close the complex, close the #Sqaylabiyah hospital, and #Salamiyah, and #Masyaf.” “Just give me a little time, if I don’t get all the doctors to resign and bring you a new team, hold me accountable.” It is worth noting that Al-Suqaylabiyya is a predominantly #Christian area, Al-Salamiyya has a predominantly #Ismaili majority, and Masyaf city is a mixed Ismaili and #Alawite city with an Ismaili urban majority, while its countryside is predominantly Alawite.

The people behind Al-Jazeera thought they could keep destabilizing West Asia and North Africa forever by stoking sectarianism, cheerleading armed insurgencies, laundering extremism, and platforming radical clerics who caused mass bloodshed in places like Libya and Syria. Then they ran into Iran.

Systematic Attacks on Religious Minorities' Shrines and Places of Worship in Syria W #Hama: An extremist terrorist group has destroyed a religious shrine belonging to the #Alawite community, known as “Sheikh Muhammad al-Maghribi,” located in the village of #Asila in Masyaf, in the Ghab Plain in the rural countryside of Hama Governorate, yesterday 21 March 2026. #Alawite: It is worth noting that attacks on Alawite religious shrines began following the fall of the regime, reaching their peak during the #massacres carried out against Alawites on the Syrian coast by al-Jolani’s forces. Incidents of assault on Alawite shrines have continued repeatedly, to the point where barely a month passes without an incident involving the bombing, desecration, or burning of shrines across various Alawite regions. #Druze: Similarly, shrines belonging to the Druze community were subjected to comparable attacks, including vandalism, arson, and bombings, during the massacres of July 2025 in #Suwayda, carried out by the forces of al-Jolani’s terrorist regime. #Christians: A church in #Damascus was also bombed in June 2025, in addition to attacks on churches in #Homs and the rural Homs region in the #alQusayr area. The massacres that took place in As-#Suwayda likewise saw the burning and destruction of three churches.
