Trump blasts Kurds: The Kurds take, take, take. They have a great reputation in Congress. Congress says they fight hard. They fight hard when they get paid. I am very disappointed in the Kurds.

In 2012, the Kurds were among the first to secure their areas and autonomy (effectively protecting themselves and siding against Assad), especially in Aleppo and Kobani. In 2013, when the Syrian Civil War was at its peak, Kurds—alongside other groups, including Arabs and international volunteers—fought ISIS and other Islamist groups before the U.S. even considered launching Operation: Inherent Resolve. In 2015 and 2016, the YPG was able to push ISIS back and reclaim territory in what seemed as a lost war. In 2019, after 5 months of intelligence gathering and surveillance, the SDF gathered enough information so that you can take out Al-Baghdadi. Ultimately, you personally took everything from the AANES and gave close-to-nothing in terms of political support; your support was transactional, and for the first time, the Kurds dealt with you in the same way.

@SyriacOSINT Touch a hair of our Alawite and I'll be the fiercest Alawite. Touch a hair of our Druzes and I'll be the fiercest Druze. Now I feel Kurd.

Trump: I am not happy with what happened with the Kurds. The Kurds did not deliver the weapons. We will see who has the weapons.

Here's a Syrian government supporter threatening protesters tomorrow: "If I kill 1000 of you, no one will question me." Protests are planned in Syria against the insane increase in electricity and other prices, and the ongoing purge of civil servants.
