@RiotPhroxzon Pls give Veigar a mana refund ability. So many midlane mages have an option to get mana back and he is achamp that is forced to use his ability to stack. If its fine with smolder it should be fine with Veigar too.

Full Patch Preview 26.10! Systems - New from yesterday are small buffs to Doran's Bow and Helm - Doran's Bow at this tuning is the most efficient starting item, but the tradeoff to all of the others is opening yourself up to dying from ganks and all-ins - We're also giving a small buff to Doran's Helm as it's predominantly a K'Sante item at this tuning and we think it can be broadened to more users - In 26.11, we intend to make a change to Cleaver and its interaction stacking with Deathfire Touch to give it an internal cooldown - These changes were too risky to do on this patch however - Lich Bane changes are aimed at providing more differentiation to Dusk and Dawn on the Movespeed and Burst Damage aspect, however we don't think we can go much higher than these values - Cyclosword is looking a little strong and so we're giving it a nerf - At the same time, we think after these changes it will still be a bit on the stronger side, but we want to give it a bit more time to stabilize and we can discover the shape of the optimized patterns and what users come out Zed and Naafiri - We have to talk about Zed and Naafiri if talking about Cyclosword - As 2 of the AD Assassins with a functional poke pattern, these champs were always going to benefit from Cyclosword's new passive in the same way that if there was no AD Sheen item and we added one, it would be disproportionately powerful on those users - We're taking care not to overly nerf these two champions, but they're also too strong with Cyclosword - We're giving a small nerf to both champions, but they will still likely be strong after the nerfs as it seems reasonably likely that we'll need to adjust Cyclosword in the future as its true balance state becomes more known (and we don't want to Riot special these champions) Ambessa - Last patch, the R changes, which we think are good for the champ long term, ended up being a pretty moderate sized nerf - We're restoring a bunch of power back to her now that we know the power level more clearly - We're opting not to restore power in any of her mobility capabilities and instead increasing the throughput of each ability cast Anivia - These changes are targeted at nerfing Anivia in non-mid roles, especially Top lane where her trading patterns are a bit more oppressive to play against Lee Sin - This patch features some modernization changes to Lee Sin to help him feel more fluid and pull off some fancy plays without giving him more net power - There are a few feelsbad mechanics adjustments that were added to Lee's kit over 10 years ago (like penalizing ward hops) that don't really make sense in the modern game anymore [I remember getting an interview question about these changes when I was just starting at Riot!] - These changes are aimed at providing Lee more opportunities for incredible highlight moments and raising his skill ceiling, given that he's been out so long and many players are at the top of his mastery curve - We'll be keeping an eye on how these changes affect Lane Lee Sin as well

@RiotPhroxzon Lich bane buffs are decent but not enough, however that item is not the problem but d&d still being too strong is. Can't you just reduce the additional on hit damage from d&d from 100% to like 70%?

@RiotPhroxzon Feel the zed nerfs will incentivize W max second again, people will complain he’s overly mobile , you nerf W and voltaic and he’s useless. Let assassins have Bork lite, 9% is fine, the lethality is fine. Being able to buy a single cloth to negate over 1100g item not fine

C44 is just all ranged champs now? I feel like the identity Horizon has where you want it on long range mages is cool but C44 now is just max value on every adc if spaced correctly is just a bit weird? I understand having abilities amped could lead to stuff like poke Varus being abused but what about after autoing a champion you amp attack and ability damage by X amount? Most ADCs have spells woven into their kit and just feels like the potential pool of viable champs is already low unless it’s purposefully overturned (then Jinx is just OP)

Full Patch Preview 26.4! Ryze - Ryze's resurgance in the last few months has increased visibility on R's prediction behavior. This behavior is frequently difficult to predict and often doesn't teleport champions when it feels like it should - We're removing this functionality as it leads to overall less predicatability around Ryze R behavior Dusk and Dawn, Gwen & Kayle - While we nerfed several other Dusk and Dawn users, Gwen has floated to be one of the better ones; we're tapping her done a bit as a result - Kayle also falls into a similar boat - We're overall pretty happy with the state of Dusk & Dawn; it's a popular item with a strong fantasy and after this patch, we hope it's a balanced item with an appropriately sized user base Manamune Kassadin - We're thrilled to see Kassadin finding a new fun build to play; unfortunately he's a bit too strong both with and without it, so we're tapping him down - The early game changes to let him get back to lane a bit faster has made punishing him a bit more difficult and so he'll have to work a bit harder to access those 2 and 3 item spikes he used to Rengar - Rengar's had a good number of bugs fixed on 26.2 that added quite a bit of power and consistency to him; we're pulling a bunch of that back as he's a bit too powerful for Elite players in particular ADC's & Senna - We're trying a niche for Hexoptics where it is positioned as a greedy 3rd full damage item for Crit users when they don't need LDR (or post LDR) - Jinx and Twitch are receiving durability nerfs in the mid-game to keep some of their damage fantasies intact, but create sharper tradeoffs if they misposition - Aphelios is still one of the stronger ADC's, even after a hotfix nerf in 16.1; just a generic nerf here to bring power level down - Samira's BT build is significantly worse for wear, especially after the changes to Crit; so this adjustment is intended to bring some of that build variety back - Xayah has been out of the meta for quite a while; we're trying to ease her reliance on Essence Reaver procs in order to open up a bit more build variety for her. Additionally, her damage output is just superseded by several of her contemporaries, so increasing her W uptime will help her be competitive relative to the pack - For Senna, in Support, her Enchanter builds have been on average a bit too strong relative to her AD builds and so we're trying to make that balance a little more AD skewed - We like the Enchanter build being viable, but AD should be the stronger one for her fantasy

Patch 26.4 Preview! Overall - Things are looking pretty stable; we're seeing some pretty marked game time reductions (probably from) the turret plate bulwarking reductions - We're still waiting to see the impact of the faelights and early vision changes on Jungle, but need a full patch to draw some conclusions there (and on the early bounty changes) - After this patch, things are likely to be in a pretty good spot overall, would love to hear from y'all what other things need changing - We've gotten a few initial surveys back from players and Top and Bot have been reporting higher satisfaction and power, while JG, Mid, Supp have been either neutral or lower sentiment. - This was pretty much our goal, but there's still some fine tuning to do, expect some of that in some of the coming patches Systems - Hexoptics hasn't really managed to pick up much of an audience, so we're making some adjustments to make its damage amp passive more accessible to more champions along with some other tuning adjustments Champion Changes - First Stand is coming up on 26.5; we're making a lot of changes for both general balance and hitting a few of the other outliers/forgotten champions - There isn't really a major theme here, other than trying to adjust some of the outliers that especially have benefited overly from some of the systems changes (items or otherwise) - Some of our unconventional junglers are also a bit worse for wear, so we're giving them a bit of a bump up - Mel and Zed are in a decent spot after the hotfix buffs, so we're letting them sit for a bit to stabilize Challenger+ Ranked - We made some adjustments this patch to increase queue times in Challenger to get better match quality - We're going to walk this back a bit as even though match quality has factually improved a bit, players are still feeling like those matches aren't higher quality, while having longer queue times - Going to walk it back about halfway as a result

Patch 26.3 Full Preview! Ranked - Apex Negative LP Gains: We've found and are resolving the cause of some of the Apex tier negative LP issues. There will still be some negative LP gains at the super top of the ladder as the very very best players are pushing the limits of what's possible in the system, but it shouldn't be as widespread as it is - Aegis of Valor Eligibility: We're upping the value required for Aegis claims from C to B; we're seeing C's be too easy of a criteria, we think B still accounts for players needing to "play well enough" while accounting for players being on an unfamiliar role - Duo at top of Challenger: After being able to observe the power of duos on Live and how they're performing across the ladder, the very top of the ladder duos (eg. rank 1&2 together or 2x top 10) are too strong together. So we're making some adjustments to make these games more fair. - Enabling climbing indicator on 26.3: Climbing indicator is a feature that will help players understand whether someone's rank is low, but their MMR is higher (they are still climbing!). This will help players have a better idea about fairness of the match when there's say a Silver in a Plat game Jungle Champs - A lot of the proposed changes yesterday that were causing alarm were actually Jungle specific changes; don't worry we're not trying to buff Naafiri mid for example - In the new Season we wanted to increase Jungler ability to take objectives as part of their unique role power, amongst a few things like Epic monster durability adjustments (+armor to Drakes for example) - This & some new item additions caused a large internal shift of which champs were strong and weak in the jungle - This patch is our first pass at rebalancing these champs across the board - In general, many AD junglers are getting buffed, AP jungler nerfs (along with the Dusk & Dawn context from yesterday) Item Changes - There's a bunch of concern about Riot specialing certain champs (like Dusk and Dawn users) - For the most part, this is targeted at being power neutral on the item, but shifting its power budget somewhat - Some champions like Diana, Ekko, Varus synergize disproportionately extremely well with D&D and will receive targeted nerfs (but still find the item very attractive) - Actualizer is being buffed, and so to compensate as it's current only user, Ryze is receiving a nerf Mel - Riot Emizery put out thoughts on the changelist and I tweeted about it a while ago; can read up on thoughts there for more context - We will follow up where necessary for any balance adjustments required for Mel - We intend for these changes to overall be winrate neutral, but frustration down
