Another way to save time and energy is to cover your pots while cooking. This keeps the heat trapped, so it will take less time and energy to cook your dish.

One way to beat the heat or battle the cold is to adjust the number and thickness of blankets while you sleep. Too hot? Try sleeping with a thin linen blanket or just the top sheet. Then when it gets cold, just add blankets until you are comfortable.

When it as as hot as it has been the last few weeks, every little thing you can do to conserve energy helps! Make sure you aren't leaving doors open when you are coming in and out of the house!
