@henrisvoid Wanda would have to lose her magic/be written much differently for that to work. Orlando is writing her as a God in all but name. He just hasn't had her create a private universe to reside in yet.

We have also seen magic users team up various times in the comics. I’d love to see this in animation and even go deeper into the relationships that some of them have. I’d love to see Magik, Wanda, and Nico become an established trio.

Marvel needs to tap into their mystical side more, I was bored at work and an idea came to my mind, imagine an animated series featuring marvel’s mystical characters? Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, and Loki as the main characters and each tackling on magic differently.

Anybody with strong faith in God could face the lord of the vampires. He's a manifestation of supernatural evil. That's the problem with writing Mephisto as a Satan analogue. Satan lacks physicality. All he can do is tempt people. If Mephisto has physicality, then he's not supernatural. Where does he get his power from? Why does he have a hell? Nobody's ever written Mephisto (AFAIK) as being ignored, rejected, or disbelieved, but that would be the perfect response.

Dormammu is the equivalent of a patsy in a pro wrestling match. Someone who doesn't know that the match is scripted might think the patsy could win. He'll think the better wrestler won. Dormammu fills space in a story. He's bad, but not malevolent enough to be evil. Wanda humiliated him in Sorcerer Supreme No. 5, but that won't mean more than his (n=?) other defeats will. Englehart used him well in his Dr. Strange series.

-connect to Dormamu again. You could have some fun commentary on the terrible deeds of the rich elite in politics and it'd be neat to see Parker go through all this effort of becoming president just to piss off the Avengers when he probably could've found an easier path.

Gmail's grammar checker doesn't understand the use of "it's" vs. "its." That's a strange problem for a grammar checker to have.

As of Sorcerer Supreme No. 8, Wanda is easily as powerful as her dialogue in Orlando's The Vision and the Scarlet Witch No. 2 implied she was. She can resurrect the dead, she can create universes, and she can create life--without needing the Life Force. What's left for her to do except calling herself a goddess? That would be going too far, of course. Unless fans complain about a character being too powerful, writing her as overwhelmingly powerful is easy. A ten-year-old fan could do it. A blind person could do it. But what's the point of doing it?

@shipwreckedcrew You're assuming that judges are politically biased, that prosecutions are politically biased, and that enforcement of laws is politically biased. If that's the case, why should Democratic judges preside over trials of Republicans? Only Republicans can govern Republicans. Right?

US Attorneys execute the enforcement priorities set by the Administration. They do no execute the priorities of the District Judges. What is likely to happen in the future is the statute is going to be changed to remove U.S. Attorneys from the list of positions that require Senate confirmation. Opposition party Senators are simply refusing to participate in the process and leaving the positions open as a tactic, followed by Judges of similar political persuasions to appoint U.S. Attorney's not acceptable to the White House. So they get fired. There is no end game to his problem.
Dilan Esper@dilanesper

i think the controversy over US attorneys is a kind of window into the legal right's soul. It's common sense why neither the Constitution nor Congress goes full unitary executive on appointments of prosecutors. Prosecutors aren't supposed to prosecute anyone POTUS wants to.

@pairpress They're just four five-letter words with the same last letter. Today's game was easy. The Blue group yesterday was practically impossible to solve unless someone connected them to video games. The words were unrelated to each other. "Obscure" doesn't mean "hard."

Today's 5/5 NYT Connections game had a familiar pattern, unfortunately: two easy groups and one practically unsolvable one. Unless a player has played video games, and recalls the scoring system(s) used that matches the one referenced in today's game—there's no way to group all the words through reasoning.
