Memeland might be the strangest "scam team" in Web3. CT has called them a scam or a rug for years but they just keep building and quietly levelling up. Now they accidentally leak new Captainz art and it’s not PFP crops anymore. It looks like straight-up card/game key art: full poses, clean framing, big FX, ready to drop into a TCG or some kind of combat game. Thought?

to amplify our intended goals for the anniversary event, we have made some changes: event prize claim - instead of crafting lootboxes for a chance to win gigabit, candles will now be convertible to gigabit directly and you can view your live stats in-game prize pool funding - we have added another $10,000 to the prize pool, split between candles prizepot and jackpot gigabit redemption rate - for all giga juiced players, the offramp/cashout rate is now increased from $0.8 to $0.95 per 100 gigabit, while the remaining $0.05 get recycled back into the ecosystem rewards for more info on how to participate in our anniversary event, check out the thread below 👇

I don’t think any game or game character born from our industry has ever seen 100,000,000+ organic YouTube views in 90 days. Until Gigaverse. We have 3-layers to our biz strategy: game, IP, and tech. The final & most important ingredient is community. How all the pieces come together within our ecosystem will be obvious in time. We’re building a LOT and the hardest part for someone like me who can see the future is being patient as we execute each chapter within the journey. They must be executed sequentially - such is the process of building something truly meaningful - no layer or step can be skipped. My solace is knowing it’s all going to be worth it.

Let's talk about GIGABIT 🔹 We are launching an ingame currency but it's built different. No VCs. No presales. No imaginary valuations. No unrealistic vestings. No dumpnomic unlocks. We have seen how that playbook ends in most cases. GIGABIT is built for stability and functionality. ▫️ Cross-platform ▫️ Cross-chain ▫️ Blockchain abstraction ▫️ Zero fees ▫️ Instant transactions ▫️ Pegged to USDC at specific rates ▫️ Circular reward systems Instead of the traditional onchain token with external forces, GIGABIT becomes the economic backbone, designed to work seamlessly across every layer of the Gigaverse experience. One of the core elements as we build toward Gigaverse 1.0. No speculation. Just a currency that does what a currency is supposed to do. GLHF

Been thinking about designing a Gigaverse currency for a while now. We started with the obvious: a coin. Round, shiny, familiar. But why should digital currency in Gigaverse be a coin? The world is made of data. Then it hit me: a cube. A cube is a bit. A pixel. A chunk of data. It’s what the whole world is made of. The form matches the function. A recognizable silhouette that reads instantly, even at small sizes. The colors feel like compact Gigadata- the raw material our world is made of. It matches our UI colors, fits the tech aesthetic, and feels valuable. Currency isn’t just a number. It’s an object players see constantly. It doesn't just exist in the world - it's what the world is made of. This is Gigabit. And it feels like trading actual pieces of the digital fabric that makes up Gigaverse

🏆 @playgigaverse Holiday Competition Congrats to @yanik_ai for winning this holiday tournament! GG! There's still 18h left, but I think I was the only one that could have caught him, and I have finished my runs. I loved taking part in this competition, as it was way more skill based than the previous ones. I don't play gacha or deathfun or any of the other gambling "games" on Abstract. Hence my vibe for previous fishing comps was a bit "meh", as it was primarily about RNG. I don't consider myself a creator or a web3 gamer or an investor. I am a gamer, period. I always favor skill over RNG. So what on earth am I doing playing a rock-paper-scissors game on the numero uno gambling chain? At the end of the day, its RNG, but you can increase your odds of beating fish or mob by using math and logic. As in chess, some situations allow forced checkmate in one, two, or three moves. Choosing the right move involves layered strategy, whether you're fishing or running dungeons. Although I think the Candy Cane tournament was a lot of fun, there are certain aspects I would like to see improved for the next one! (Easter?) Clearing a dungeon need to be rewarded. This was corrected on day 2 of previous Conquest, where you got faction stubs for defeating Hand Of Bekda or any of the 5K bosses. Unclear why it was excluded here. Not only does it make sense to reward you for having a perfect run, but it would also add another layer of decision to be made. Optimize potion setup for echos or for beating Hand Of Bekda? The CC payout at the pond was overtuned. Given that the trigger is largely luck-based, 80 CC per catch is excessive. 20–40 CC would preserve variance while maintaining balance. Outside of that, this tournament was really well designed imo. I already look forward to the next one! btw: the standings in the screenshot isn't final. Some users haven't done their runs yet, but I am fairly confident we can already conclude who won it atleast.

It's past the halfway point of the holidays competition, and I'm sitting well within the top 10 but someway off the leader. I think it's safe to say there is no chance to catch the leader in the remaining days based on how lucky he is so far with RNG (or how unlucky the others are) I have mixed feelings this competition. While there are obviously good things, especially for the revenue and growth of the game and the game economy, there are some things I dislike about as well. Firstly, this competition is too heavily dependent on RNG. For the top 10 players, I would confidently say are playing almost optimally. It ultimately comes down to who is the luckiest in the top 10. And I think the main differentiator is the RNG in fishing. While there is also RNG in dungeon and chances to face echos, echos by nature make dungeons more difficult, so at least there is some extra strategy needed against echos. In fishing however, a fish that would be a cane is equally as easy as any other kind of fish. Moreover, there are only about 20 attempts a day (maybe a few more if you get lucky with jebait) and a 25% candy cane rate. Compare that with dungeons where you have up to 105 attempts a day (juiced runs) to face an echo and a 12.5% echo rate and dual fuchsia orbs which are more impactful than any fishing lure (and a higher chance of dying early if you face too many echos within a single dungeon). Fishing as it is now doesn't feel like it rewards skillful play enough (imagine catching a 31 hp fish that moves randomly and not even getting a cane). Don't get me wrong, I think having RNG in competitions does serve a purpose in letting more players feel like they can get lucky and win something, which we have seen in the previous 2 fishing competitions (which also gave prizes not just to the 1st place winner). However with the addition of dungeons to this competition, truthfully only relic equipment owners who are near level 100 in both Dungetron 5000 and Underhaul have any chance to win, ruling out 99% of the population (Furthermore there is only a prize for 1st place, the rest would be competing for gift boxes with the entire population). In the end this became a competition between relic owners on how lucky they are in fishing 😂 Secondly, the daily/weekly candy cane deals and prize distribution. Currently, the supply of candy canes is increasing by about 550000 a day. Based on a 20K USDC prize pool, it's possible that 1 cane would only be worth about $0.0028 at the end of 2 weeks. Of course that is assuming that the USDC are the only prizes of value from the gift boxes (probably not, and I hope not). However, it does feel like most of the deals are nowhere near economical at all for the amount of canes they give. Regardless, there are still players like me and the others in the top rankings who do this anyway with the hope of trying to win the 1st place. But if we don't, there is a chance that all of us will lose money because of the reasons mentioned above. Candy cane supply is too diluted and I'm afraid of the situation where the only winners from this competition are the first place winner and the low spend juiced accounts who did not turn in any deals at all. They could probably fix this by offering different tiers of gift boxes that cost different amount of candy canes (For example, higher tier gift boxes cost more cane but have a much higher EV). Let's see if this will ultimately be a non issue. I'm really hoping to see in future competitions, more strategy and fewer RNG elements. For fishing in particular, there is already a good amount of RNG involved, why add a measly 25% chance to be rewarded for a win? GL everyone, I do hope that no matter what most of us will be happy with the outcome of this competition 😎And a happy new year to the entire Gigaverse!

Gigaverse has done it once again! 20K USDC of real prizes (not imaginary points or inflationary tokens) to its players for the holidays. The best part? Every player can probably get a share, by just playing @playgigaverse as usual without spending extra money. But of course, there's always the option to spend money to try and get a bigger share! There's also a 1 of 1 GLHFer NFT for the 1st place in the leaderboard! That's the beauty of web3. So in this guide I will give you all the info that you need to know as well as some suggestions, whether you have never played Gigaverse before or you're already an experienced player. 🧵👇

As we were putting this event together with all the systems built I remembered a year ago. There was no game, no players, no real team. I’d been working weekends/nights to create the core architecture - wondering if it would be a waste of time. I was excited - but the dream of the gigaverse being real, having players, building it full-time — all still seemed far-fetched. Today I can happily say I’m doin what I dreamed of doing a year ago. Very thankful to our team, our supporters and mostly our players for making it a reality. Happy Noobsmas everybody.
