🚨Stop blaming BlueCo for Enzo Maresca leaving Chelsea.
Cold truth: Enzo Maresca used Chelsea as a stepping stone. The moment Manchester City links surfaced and Pep succession talks heated up, he did everything in his power to make his position at Stamford Bridge untenable.
He tried to outsmart the board, aired grievances publicly, clashed with the hierarchy and medical staff, and forced their hand. He didn’t get pushed — he engineered his own exit. I don’t blame BlueCo for binning him at all.
The real grievance is the panic appointment that followed: handing the keys to Liam Rosenior. It was an understandable short-term call under massive pressure (continuity from the BlueCo network at Strasbourg), but it proved a catastrophic failure.
Maresca manipulated the situation, the board folded, and fans were left with the wreckage.

All these Maresca snakes talks too funny. He made it known he was talking to Man City which was allowed in his contract and left Chelsea when he wasn’t backed.
My own is, Maresca should remember Man City isn’t Chelsea. Any little bad run, he’s getting sacked without too much talks.
Now that Pep has even raised the bar too high for his successors, the job will end up looking too big for him to handle.

As a die-hard Maresca fan, it’s easy to blame BlueCo for everything because they’ve definitely messed up, but Maresca also bailed on Chelsea. He used us as a stepping stone, that Man City agreement didn’t just happen overnight.

This season was derailed because your sporting directors are incompetent. The reinforcements they signed and the ones they didnt sign ruined all our prospects this season, regardless of who the manager is. Any other answer is pure cope, but I also know this is something Chelsea fans are very good at. NotAProjectFC is already giving up on protesting the ownership after all

Should be booed all the way back to Manchester. Enzo was always a blue but it wasn't Chelsea blue. Chelsea wasn't perfect in it's structural setup but Enzo's behaviour was by far and away the main reason this season f*cking derailed. Remember that.

Unless I am missing something, Maresca didn’t get a pay rise after securing the top four target and then winning the club World Cup which no one thought Chelsea would, but the sporting directors did. He then in the summer didn’t get backed as much as he would have liked (the whole centre back thing) and once City contacted him, he asked for more power and again a pay rise and extension to reflect what he had done at Chelsea. Once Chelsea didn’t want to give him that until the summer review then he started to engage with City more seriously about a future job. To Maresca it must have come across very much like the success of his tenure was down to the model and not his work, so why are people calling him a snake?

Marescasexuals, we love Maresca for bringing glory back to this club and for being a good tactician, and we’ll always support him wherever he goes.
But let’s be honest, he wasn’t the “saint” we thought he was when he left. I get the frustration after the summer window, but he should’ve at least finished the season before walking.
