The influencer that was disrespectful towards a food truck in Japan is now facing massive backlash. He has now issued an apology for his actions. Let’s recap, he messaged a food truck in Japan and asked to do a review. He arrived two days early, brought a friend unannounced and then proceeded to spit out his food after he claimed he didn’t like it. I can’t help but feel that this is scripted and feels forced to me. I’ve watched his videos many times, back when he was first starting out I think he was genuine, he gave his honest opinion good or bad, but he did it respectfully. I feel as he got bigger in followers, he had to create some shock value to differentiate himself from all the other people doing the same style of videos. That’s why I think he started being rude and disrespectful to others, is to create a buzz around his name. I’ve always felt that I am entitled to my opinion, however I think I can express my opinion and be true to myself without maliciously bringing down others as well. I know many of these people are doing these videos for the money, that has always been clear to me. However I feel it can still be done in such a way that is valuable to the viewers while being honest at the same time as well. I don’t think people like him would even be apologizing or regretting their actions if it wasn’t affecting their bottom line.

This influencer asked this Texas bbq food truck in Japan to do a collab. Not only did he arrive two days early but he even brought another influencer friend unannounced. He then proceeded to be disrespectful, and spit out the food. His bad review is making the food truck now struggle. I never liked the idea of someone who is expecting free food in exchange for publicity and exposure. It seems rather one sided to me. Many times, the influencer isn’t familiar with the culture and style of food. I feel if he wasn’t used to the flavors and he didn’t like it, he didn’t have to be over dramatic about it and spit it out. He could have just said it wasn’t to his liking. For me he lost all credibility when he said the pork ribs weren’t even Wagyu when earlier it was clear he didn’t know what Wagyu tasted like when he ate the brisket. Wagyu is a breed of cow not pig, so in a sense he was right, the pork rib isn’t Wagyu. I feel he owes them an apology for his entitled behavior. It’s a shame their business is now suffering because of someone like this.

Mass Breakout During Sihanoukville Scam Raid Police raided an online scam operation in Sihanoukville this evening and a group of foreigners, mostly Chinese nationals, bolted from the building as officers moved in. The location is at the end of Occeuteal Beach. According to early Khmer reporting, some of those inside had relocated from Poipet to set up here.

@atkindm Unfortunately there’s no perfect world out there. Which country doesn’t have the racism and why are you calling out just Japan? Unlike places like Singapore or Dubai, Japan isn’t equipped to welcome foreigners to live and crash btw the local is required to adopt.

@iamshomo @gotrice2024 I get your point, I would never go to any of those fake Sushi / Japanese restaurant in the U.S. or in Europe That fat boy and his bf has rights to say his opinion but there’s manners to these things. Spitting it out and talking down on local biz like that is not welcomed.

This is the friend who came along unannounced to do a review on the Japanese Bbq food truck. Off the bat this guy was negative the whole time, even trash talking them. In my opinion I think his behavior was worse than his friend that spit out the food. I’m not sure if they planned on just being negative as a rage bait tactic but whatever they did, worked. Everyone is talking about these two now but not in a good way. I feel if he was being honest, then he’s entitled to his opinion also, however do it with respect. I would never show up unannounced, expecting free food and special treatment, and then trash talk the people who agreed to work with me. I’ve always believed that shows immaturity and lack of class. I think it’s possible, and it shows, that he really has no idea what he’s talking about, like sending someone raised on McDonald’s to go and review five star dining. It goes over their head. Since this incident, both of them have issued apology videos out of necessity, not out of remorse. They are publicly shamed for their behavior for this and rightfully so.

@GhostInDior__ @gotrice2024 I don’t know about your culture but if you are getting free food, it’s ok to say whatever you want but don’t spit it out and make a content out of it. It’s actually true. And the guy should be able to say its not good. That thing costs a fortune. i’ve been living here for more than 20 years now, and they do not have a good Barbecue Restaurants… Been looking for restaurant that serve awesome briskets but nope! Its not even the issue of localizing the taste, cuz texas bbqs are fucking awesome whereever your from. I used to say, if you pay-for-it you can get anything in Tokyo, but not a good brisket😭
