@wesruckerTBA We’ve also won 2 games in OT. We are 4-5 against the spread with a -0.5 avg ATS point differential. So the games are basically playing out as expected, based on real-time predictive models.

Keep trying to explain this: The issue with Tennessee football isn’t X number of wins per season. Every season is different. In this particular season, Tennessee has lost three games it could have won, two of which it should have won, but it beat itself. That is the issue.

@TheGhostOfHope SBMM has ruined rank also. They do matchmaking based on your MMR instead of your rank. Defeats the whole purpose.

Guys hear me out and this is probably a CRAZY CRAZY idea but like what if Ranked Play had SBMM and then public matches had minimal SBMM? Would that be a good decision for Call of Duty?

@TABLECAPTAINN @MartGB_ @Parasite The funny part is sbmm belongs in pubs for the health of the player base and it doesn’t belong in ranked because you should be matched against players of your rank, not a hidden skill value.

The sbmm changes to match making won’t matter unless everyone queues into it. If you’re a casual or bad at the game and kinda understand the difference between both these playlist why would you play the one that won’t protect you from better players?

When a pro player starts in diamond they’ll be playing significantly better lobbies in ranked than a player in diamond who’s a peak diamond player.

@MartGB_ @Parasite SBMM doesn’t even belong in ranked. Ranked matchmaking should be based on rank. They’ve even ruined that in recent games. In BO6 it’s not based on rank, it’s based on your “hidden” rank. So they’ve shoved 80% of players into platinum, and then it’s based on SBMM.

@Parasite SBMM only belongs in ranked/comp playlists in any game, casual/social pubs shouldn't have it - lobby variety is better in those cases. We let corpo suits with spreadsheets of player retention -> mtx spend data get too powerful.

@Jbooty88 Just what is being measured? So many of these in the top 15 played FCS schools. Those are generally meaningless games.

This is why we absolutely CAN NOT allow a 5-11 model with a committee voting on 11 at large spots. It had to be formulaic and decided on the field. It’s human nature to be biased- we can never fully remove it… but even the FPI formula has clear baked in bias. This is the egregious to release after the results of this weekends games.

Listen, man. Florida State coming off a 2-10 season and being the one to officially end Alabama as a top program would be the most delicious thing to happen in college football in a long time. We all deserve this.

@HankPowell6 Also @joelklatt says the offense doesn’t develop QBs, but the argument has always been it makes it too easy for the QB and makes them look good…. But Nico looked worse in that offense than any QB Heupel has had. He couldn’t even make the “two reads” he needed to make.
