Jennifer Bos’s daughter, Megan, was found partially decomposed in a garbage can in Waukegan, Illinois, on April 10, 2025. Luis Mendoza-Gonzalez, an illegal alien from Mexico, found Megan unresponsive, hid her body in a trash can in his yard, poured bleach on her corpse and left her there for nearly two months. Illinois’ sanctuary city policies allowed Mendoza-Gonzalez to be released from jail within 24 hours, despite abusing and concealing Megan’s body, until the Trump administration secured his arrest. Angel Mother Jennifer Bos will provide moving testimony today in support of @DAGToddBlanche's efforts to protect Americans from deadly soft-on-crime policies.

.@JulianaStratton and @GovPritzker, governing isn't about catchy slogans, it's about consequences. "Abolish ICE." "Welcoming state." "Sanctuary." Those are slogans, not governing policies. If ICE is abolished, what replaces it? How are immigration laws enforced? How are dangerous individuals removed before innocent people are harmed? Katie paid the price for reckless policies that put ideology ahead of public safety. Illinois deserves better.
