A 39% drop for a controversial dramedy, is exceptional. Unless it collapses completely from here on out (it won't), 50M+ US / 100M+ Worldwide could be the endgame here. 28M+PR price tag. Big win for A24, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, spring wide releases & midrange budget films.

@effoff1988 I’m very interested to see how high it goes. $50M domestic final total feels safe at this point, but I feel there’s an outside chance it could leg closer to $60-$65M. Either way very impressive for both stars.

READY OR NOT 2 - HERE I COME : The rare unplanned sequel that works as well as its predecessor thanks to a stronger and better utilised ensemble once again led by an excellent Samara Weaving; and a plot that raised the stakes effectively. The sisterly bond was a great hook, too.

@effoff1988 I hope so too, but what helped THE HOUSEMAID was that it was based on an already popular novel. I hoping that this could at least do similar to Zendaya’s Challengers. The difference here is that she doesn’t have to sell it primarily on her name alone, she has Pattionson to help

It kicks off the summer movie season, it already has tons brand cross promotion deals, and it has heavy in-theater promotion. I think that it has the potential to if not Barbie numbers, at least Wicked Part 1

It's very very early, but I've seen enough to say that #TheDevilWearsPrada2 👠 from @20thcentury should comfortably open $75m+. It's on its way to being a massive hit, and if it's good, has a lot of room to grow from there.

@GraceRandolph They do this all the time now, they roll in all of the pre-release grosses into one number, and it skews and complicates the predictions for the entire weekend. But like you said it is still a very good start no matter how you slice it.

@Yepbo25 She didn’t necessarily go on hiatus on a high note. Yes, Breathe In, Breathe Out was a top 5 album, but its sales were significantly lower than her previous ones. And 10 years is a long break for anyone. I just think that this just goes to show how much work she put into this…
