A 16yo from Troy is charged with weapon possession in Albany. Albany County Sheriff's deputies say the teen possessed a .22 caliber AR-style pistol with a defaced serial number. The gun had an extended magazine with 24 rounds. He's being held in a juvenile detention facility.

The Red Cross is assisting 6 residents displaced by a fire last night at 50 Delaware Street in Albany. The fire damaged 50 Delaware and a neighboring vacant building. One person suffered a minor injury. A cause is under investigation.

The Mayor of the village of Laurens is facing charges that he raped a child under the age of 13 in Clifton Park. 62yo Frank Kovacs' arrest follows a similar arrest last June in Oneonta in which he's also accused of raping a teenager. He's in the Saratoga County jail.

The Department of Justice has released footage of thugs stealing $1.7 million of jewelry in about one minute in Fremont, California. The incident happened on June 18, 2025, at Kumar Jewelers. The thugs were able to steal about 75% of the store's merchandise. According to the New York Post, four suspects have been arrested, but most of the robbers remain at large. Video: Mercury News.
