The problem at the end of the day was that The Boys was a show about superheroes and defying the status quo and it was written by people who didn't know how to write superheroes and didn't want to change the status quo. #TheBoys

The "I'll suck your dick" in The Boys finale doesn't work. You can have Homelander be pathetic without having to say that. Even saying "I'll be your bitch" would be so much better in every way. It's just another overtly sexual thing they've added because that's their gimmick.

@SophiaNarwitz From her very introduction, it seemed clear that her blood manipulation powers would be used to extract Compound V from Homelander's bloodstream, depowering him to some extent without killing him. That seems like the perfect use of her character.

It would have been exceptionally lame for a spin-off show character with little presence in the main series to dispatch Homelander as it’d be a massive disservice to the main arc of the show, but given how powerful they built her up to be, they still could have found a way to work her into the final season a bit more. Perhaps introducing a new powerful villain who helps Homelander and letting her hold him off while The Boys try to finish up a mission. Among other things she could aid with.

@zerowontmiss There is a way to pay off the hype around Marie being able to take down Homelander while also letting Butcher be the one to kill him. Marie can manipulate blood. Compound V and V1 are chemicals in the bloodstream. Remove that and you depower the most powerful Supe. Ease as.

No hate on Gen V but if Marie kills Homelander instead of Butcher, this scenes means nothing anymore. #TheBoys
