Other Notes:
There’s is one potential bid stealer out there. If UAB beats Memphis, Texas will drop out. If Memphis wins, they will stay an 8 seed. No seeding implications for the Big Ten Championship.
Outside of the true bubble, the hardest areas for me to seed were:
The final 3 seed between Texas A&M and Iowa State.
The final 4 seed between Clemson and Arizona.
The final 10 seed between Vanderbilt and West Virginia.
Final bracket will be posted at the conclusion of the AAC game.
@lukeevangelist_@SoulSilencer89 Nebraska last year is a good example of a team that we match up well with that shoots the three well, same with Auburn this year (you’ll notice a consistent trend of us beating them over the years), Mizzou, Purdue (turned the ball over like 20 times against us iirc), etc.
@lukeevangelist_@SoulSilencer89 I’d honestly disagree, we really need to avoid the teams that move the ball really well without turning it over. Now that can be a good three point shooting team (see PSU two years ago, UF), but that can also be one that doesn’t shoot it as well (Vandy, Alabama).
Welcome to Selection Sunday.
The Aggies await their fate on the No. 3/4 seed line.
A late push by Wisconsin has bracketologists thinking the Badgers will earn a No. 3 seed, but A&M’s full body of work (10th in WAB) is still a major factor that could keep them on the No. 3 line.
A lot of the conversation in the SEC has focused on Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn & Florida, and deservedly so.
Yet, another team is being slept on as a potential dark horse for a high protected seed, and that's Texas A&M.
Aggies pound Texas by 20 in College Station and now boast a 6-2 Q1/Q2 record and should sport Top 15 predictive and resume metric averages tomorrow.
The main thing lacking on TAMU's resume is higher-end wins, which will need to come if the Aggies want a shot at a 3-seed or higher, but the opportunity is undoubtedly there, especially if they can capitalize on road trips to Lexington and Gainesville.
The shooting may be a little rough at times, but A&M's defense is going to carry it a long, long way this year in the SEC.
@Nathanb51550095@CBBcontent What about Pharrel Payne?
Also, everybody from the team last year is back with another year of experience, including an arguably top 3 guard in the country.
You probably think Kentucky should be ranked higher with an entire team of transfers. Do some research before you talk
