I’m sorry man but when you put the fans from the NBA Finals to a self-inflicted rebuild, why do we HAVE to move on? especially after B2B lottery seasons there’s going to be resentment

I wanna just say, in my 25+ years of watching the NBA. I’ve never seen a guy continuously exceed his level of play and the very next day podcasters and pundits can’t seem to rationalize it so they just completely dismiss any thought he should be considered MVP. I also wanna piggy back off of what Colin Cowherd said earlier about how the Lakers should avoid the TWolves because they have a guard that can put pressure on Luka and Reaves defensively. Why can’t that same argument be used against Ant who will have to deal with the best backcourt in the NBA (healthy and clicking) when last I checked, he isn’t exactly locking anyone down on that end of the floor either ? None of this makes sense, there’s no rhyme or reason to the lunacy I’ve been seeing flood the air recently. The Lakers went 15-2 in March and you’d think they’re a play-in team if you don’t actually know better.

So the FIRE KIDD chants need to start as fast as humanly possible I want him far away from my team

The Luka Doncic for Anthony Davis trade is the WORST trade in NBA history and makes ZERO sense to this day and will NEVER make sense. It was COMPLETELY unnecessary for the Mavericks to trade a 25 year-old SUPER-DUPER-STAR for an injury prone and aging Anthony Davis.

The Mavs went from having arguably one of the best (if not THE best) back-courts in the NBA, going to the Finals and then trading the heart and soul of the franchise, who they lucked into in the 2018 draft (perfectly timed to pass the torch from Dirk to Luka), to now having one of the worst offensive and defensive ratings in the NBA, a terrible back-court and lots of wings and bigs that function exceptionally well WITH a star guard and quite poorly WITHOUT a star guard. Since the trade, their record is 14-24. The trade was insane when it happened, the impact is painfully visible now, and will be visible for years and years to come. The arena feels dead and many seats are left empty, they started 4 games at home and are 1-3, including a loss against the "mighty" Wizards. The team and the fans didn't deserve this at all. When was the last time a super star who went to the Finals as arguably the best player on the team, was then traded against his will a few months later? You guessed right, never. And there's a reason for that - it doesn't make sense on any level. The Mavs now have the worst (!) offensive rating in the NBA, and the fifth worse point differential. Fortune favors the bold.
