I just warned about this. Rates are up. Rates going up is a *bearish headwind* for stocks. Stocks have to overcome this headwind to rally further on top of being massively overbought. This is not difficult to understand, even for a layman, but retail will come up with fanciful narratives on why this time it's different. Just before FOMC I exited all bond duration and am now only in t-bills (0-3M). I also hedged half of my risk positions. Hedges are all firmly in green so I have breathing room to see how the price action plays out

I was in a restaurant recently, lots of Chinese. They was so happy while talking LOUD, laughing LOUD, demanding waiters LOUDLY. I don't usually end up in such places. I don't get happy the way others do. I wouldn't change it. I do not go out for fun. My level of fun is going to a private cigar lounge in peace and quiet where surrounding individuals are are looking for peace and quiet while conducting business or just having time away while being treated with respect. Going out for 'fun' is something I do not enjoy. I like living in a constant state of battle, fear, anxiety, conquer. Fun to me would be going to the gym, taking an ice bath, doing a bog standard 8-12 hour fast with coffee while I work and answer emails, take phone calls, online meetings, trades and think of how I can be more prepared or ways to improve my life in. each. and. every. detail. possible. I know I'm different to most of you. Anyone relate? - Wynn

FUTURES RISE AFTER FED’S WILLIAMS SIGNALS POSSIBLE DECEMBER RATE CUT U.S. stock futures climbed Friday after Fed President John Williams hinted a December rate cut. S&P 500 futures rose 0.5%, and Nasdaq futures gained 0.4%, despite major indexes heading for their worst week since March. Williams said there is “room for further adjustment” to rates and noted easing inflation risks. Traders lifted the odds of a December cut to over 50%, up from 37%. The Nasdaq remains under pressure amid concerns over tech monetization and rising debt. Williams also said inflation has stalled near 2.75%, partly due to trade policies, but he expects it to move back toward 2% by 2027.
