No, it is not easier overall. Women often get more initial clicks from a male-heavy audience, but sustaining and scaling growth is significantly harder due to massive barriers like constant harassment, doxxing, objectification, and unwanted advances that most male streamers never face. Devin Nash (who has repped top female talent) put it well: 'The vast majority of men have zero concept of the female barrier to entry to streaming... even 100 viewer female streamers deal with [hundreds of daily DMs, constant doxxing, people showing up at houses]... It is utterly unhinged.' He notes this drives many talented women away early, creating a graveyard of potential creators who get discouraged before they can build. Getting lots of early attention isn’t the same as real growth. If people don’t stick around, you’re just making things much harder on yourself. Quality content plus consistency still wins in the long run, but the road isn’t easier. It’s just steep in new ways.
