Evidence leader Matthew Chaskalson says the drugs shown being counted in a video sent by Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala were branded “Prestige”.
He has told the commission that the Forensic Science Laboratory has confirmed receiving bricks of cocaine for analysis on 21 July 2021. He says the bricks sent for analysis are the same ones in Matlala’s video.

Chairperson Mbuyiseli Madlanga has handed down a ruling agreed to by all legal teams. Mike Van Wyk’s appearance before the commission has been postponed sine die (indefinitely). The evidence leader will today place on record all the evidence that Van Wyk was expected to be questioned on. Van Wyk may submit a supplementary statement by 6 July. If evidence leaders wish to recall him after receiving the statement, they must provide at least seven days’ notice. #KayaNews #MadlangaCommossion TT
