Grateful for having been part of this journey with fantastic colleagues. >2 years of discussions with often diverging opinions resulted in this paper, together with the insight of how much we still don't know about the mycorrhizal symbiosis. Exciting times ahead for research!

Very much enjoyed the opening keynote of the Soil Systems conference by @andreasarichter making the point that microbial growth is more informative than CUE for understanding soil carbon storage

After a hard week of work, my first PhD experiment is fully set up and incubations are running 🤩 Can't wait for these cool results about global change impacts on soil microbes 😱

My new samples had a wonderful view, right? 👀 Great sampling trip 🛻 with @andreasarichter and @VWaschulin in beautiful Tyrol. Looking forward to discover in my PhD what those microbes🦠 are up to!

Long due CAREER UPDATE: over the moon that #ERC will fund my #ERCStG EcoMEMO working on #soilmicrobes and #drought. I will start in October at the oldest University (@Unibo). I sadly left @TER_Vienna after so many great years. #PhD and #postdoc will be available soon ( short🧵)
