Sad day saying goodbye to Dom Such an awesome clinician, scientist, team player and positive influence in our Department. UABs anesthesia loss is Brighams gain 😢 Good luck Dom
1/3 Over the last few weeks in my fellowship with
@MustafaAhmedMD, my co-fellow @BaranAksutMD and I have learned the critical importance of knowing your equipment. #UABstructural
1/3. It has been an incredible week transitioning from interventional to #UABstructural fellow with my co-fellow @BaranAksutMD. Great cases with an amazing team. @MustafaAhmedMD
2/3. 7 TAVRs, 3 Clips, 2 Inari PEs, 2 LAVAs, 1 Amulet, 1 Watchman, 1 TMVR, 1 alcohol septal ablation, 1 PFO, 1 IVC filter, and 1 CTO later plus the myriad of STEMIs, complex elective PCIs, and structural TEEs, and we aren’t even a full week into this year.
When getting cath films from a different hospital, does it always come on a CD? Most of the modern computers don’t even have a cd drive. There are likely 8 million better options. Please list some @Google@elonmusk@Apple@amazon@Microsoft@Cerner
Within last 2 days , we have done 5 TAVRs (including VIV), mitral VIV, mitraclip, RA thrombus aspiration thrombectomy, Massive PE required ECMO and INARI, ECMO re-configuration, High risk LM Impella PCI, VSD closure, PFO closure, Protek 4 trial enrollment, >30 cath and TEE
I’ll be sad when my structural fellowship is over, been a great 48 hours of wide variety hands on exposure here at #UABstructural@MustafaAhmedMD. I love how bioprosthetic MS/MR can be treated routinely in the cath lab in 20minutes and patients walking within hours. @MouhamedAmr1
