Each one was a preview of what was lost in the fall. Then came Christ, the true meeting place. Fully God and fully man, He became the bridge between Heaven and Earth. That’s why He said, “You will see Heaven open, and angels ascending and descending on the Son of Man.” He was describing Himself as the new Jacob’s ladder, the point where both realms meet. His death tore the veil, His resurrection opened the way, and His coming Kingdom will finish what began in Eden. The goal has never been to leave Earth, but to restore it. That’s why Revelation ends with New Jerusalem coming down, not us going up. Heaven descends. The curse is reversed. God dwells with man again. But here’s the deception, most modern Christians don’t actually believe that story. They’ve inherited a Gnostic version of the gospel that spiritualizes everything. They think the Kingdom is eternally invisible, Heaven is a spiritual final destination, and the physical world doesn’t matter. That’s not the gospel of the apostles, that’s the old serpent’s theology. Because Gnosticism is so much more than ancient mysticism, it’s the original lie: “Escape the physical. Transcend the material. Be your own light.” It keeps Heaven and Earth divided, the exact opposite of God’s plan. So when Christ returns, physically, visibly, in power, most of the world will reject Him. They’ll call it political. They’ll call it Zionist. They’ll call it demonic. Because their worldview has already trained them to see anything literal, Jewish, or earthly as evil. That’s why the deception of the last days is so powerful. It’s how God separates those led by the Spirit from those led by the flesh, the ones who love truth over comfort, obedience over pride; and they'll be given authority over the nations to reign with Christ. (Revelation 2:26) This life is the training ground. Those who endure will reign with Him (2 Timothy 2:12). Those who humble themselves now will share His glory later. That’s why the Gospel isn’t just about being saved from Hell, it’s about being made ready to govern under the King of Heaven on Earth. Eden lost becomes Eden restored. Heaven and Earth finally reunite. And only those refined by the fire will be ready when the real Kingdom appears.
