@ThomasSowell Not really - it’s those of that voted for Ron Paul, aka the modern Nostradamus, in 1988 that look smart

"Fauci wasn’t merely wrong about key aspects of his supposed field of expertise — from the effectiveness of masks to those completely arbitrary and nonscientific social distancing rules. It also seems clear that he outright lied about many things, including the extent to which the U.S. was funding gain-of-function virus research in the Chinese city where the first COVID cases were identified." thehill.com/opinion/techno…

@ThePholosopherX Conceptually CEOs should get paid whatever they can negotiate with ownership- practically speaking most CEOs are tremendously overpaid especially public company CEOs (speaking as a CEO) - but that is bad ownership making bad deals and we shouldn’t regulate bad decisions

CEOs earn more because of the value they provide at scale. It's a higher level of wide orchestration, responsibility, and commitment. If people want to earn more, then they need to gain the needed skills, not take from the productive by force.

I have just spoken with the Emir of Qatar and President Trump following the strikes that hit gas production facilities in Iran and Qatar today. It is in our common interest to implement, without delay, a moratorium on strikes targeting civilian infrastructure, particularly energy and water supply facilities. Civilian populations and their essential needs, as well as the security of energy supplies, must be protected from military escalation.

Social Awareness Poll: Of course it is very rare that anybody wins a war. With that said, who is gaining the upper hand in the Iran War right now? (I know there are other choices, but lets leave them out for now.)

@DavidBCollum Why do people think Iran is winning? This is stunning. It’s either false information or absurd expectations.

Rudy Havenstein, Senior Markets Commentator.
I remember when Iran fired people for not getting an experimental shot, closed the beaches, and shut down small businesses, while cancelling you for any dissent. This was after lying us into Iraq, destroying the middle-class, and creating the biggest wealth divide since 1929.

"Thursday's mishap could be the largest of its kind in history." The man clicked "agree" when alerted to potential "slippage" & lost ~$50m. In crypto land, they call it a "mishap." theblock.co/post/393466/cr…

@schuttsm @RealJamesWoods Agree but he could still bring it to the floor and make them talk non stop - create a show about it - show everyday they don’t want to have people show Id to vote - public pressure might get them - it is a 90% issue

James, I'm happy to explain it: The filibuster is what the issue is, not the SAVE act. John Thune wants to preserve the filibuster because it prevented many very bad bills under Biden The worst was HR. 1 in 2022 that would have mandated nationwide same-day voting and motor voter registration: you know how this works in California Some are saying the democrats would abolish the filibuster if given the chance, I am convinced this is not true, given that they did not in 2022 and are now on the other side now. Those memories will still be fresh when if/when they get in power

I know I discuss this relentlessly, but there are few actions taken by politicians that are difficult to figure out. The one that has me absolutely stumped is John Thune’s refusal to support Voter ID. Can someone please explain his obvious treachery. I can’t grasp it.

Alan Greenspan turns 100 today. He wrote the monetary-policy playbook every Fed chair since has followed, betraying the long-held economic principles his successors don’t even understand. He may live long enough to see the disastrous consequences that his errors set in motion.
