I LOVE chatting about India. I nannied for an Indian family for years during my undergrad and learned so much. The food, culture, etc. it’s one of my favorite cuisines. @TGamer6k @asessiino @kira_prod If I dig a hole into the walls to the outside then I can just try to conquer global warming with my AC. I have practically all windows facing south. The heat right outside the stone is probably around 50° C or more during midday.

so germany are we ever gonna change our minds abt the whole not needing AC thing or do we need the annual heatwaves to start hitting in january for that to become a conversation

@san_siren666 @asessiino @kira_prod a central cooling unit for a home is highly impractical, unless you have a mansion. and yes, you're meant to dig a hole in every room, prolly the size of a cd. also, most rooms already have the wiring in place, find the circular patch on a wall above, put the ac there, bingo.

You want a central cooling unit in have the basement and then have the pipes running outside along the walls of the house, drill a hole into every room next to the window or something for an ac unit, or you just want to drag the outside air in?

@Runenleser @kira_prod well depends on what you value more, monetary costs or human costs. the external stress caused by the heat will compound as you age putting higher risk of organ failiure and heat stroke. it's not like you turn the radiator on for the entire year also, even that's a temporary use

@TGamer6k @kira_prod Never said its impossible, just harder than other nation like US. Therefore installlation costs are generally higher while the need for an ac unit is much smaller timewise, only lasting from june -end of august for major heatwaves.

@kira_prod Many places, do to having solid brick walls, are not easy to install ac units into, also they are very pricey to install and maintain and really smack you with the electricity bill
