Who directed the ancestry commercial?

@johnmerizalde The assumption being that corporations care about living wages for music video crews? The impetus is on artists to command/demand more money for budgets, and for production companies to invest heavily in videos if they really see them as a way to promote their directors.

@THISISMAINLINE Sure, but that doesn't really excuse multi-billion dollar corporations from underpaying people for their labor. I think crews having to work for nothing is part of the problem? Just because it's an industry built on exploitation doesn't mean that it should continue that way.

Wait, there are directors out there who want to make a living directing music videos? I don’t know, I had jobs when I was directing music videos. And also, there are only a handful of great tracks a year. And also, you want to keep asking crew to work for nothing over and over?

By ‘jobs’ I mean doing treatments for other directors, working at production companies, PAing on set, etc... (AG)
