This lawsuit was about Spotify’s discovery mode boosting certain artists for “pay by labels” which leads to them gaining millions of streams, some examples were Drake AND Justin Beiber. This wasn’t a case where Drake’s streams were examined and determined to be non-fraudulent.
It was dismissed bc of the terms and conditions we all sign before using Spotify which state claims must be handled in arbitration, and there can’t be a “class action lawsuit”, only individual.
Yet, here is a paid move by Complex to prop this ngga up with a misleading headline and article… that ends with “IceMan otw May 15th.” 😆

Yeah the performance last year was great. I just hate this narrative that the industry use Dot to tear down Drake when we all know Drake is still the machine. Other than that cool opinion.
