@nateinthewild Given the absolute prevalence of them on TikTok, with clips from every kind of tv show and film with generic random account names, they appear to be bots.

In case anyone is curious, videos like these have those annoying strips on them to fool detection algorithms because this is stolen content. Instead of paying to license it, this account stole it and then defaced it so the theft couldn’t be prosecuted.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT: It has come to my attention that a fake Drive The Globe instagram account was set up using my photos and profile image. It had in fact garnered more than 500 followers. I reported it to Meta and they quickly removed it, in fact I received a call from a live human at Meta. In addition, hundreds of my followers and friends on Facebook have reported receiving offers to purchase Drive The Globe clothing. This is a scam! It has been reported to Meta and is being addressed. I am sorry for any inconvenience this has occurred. Welcome to the world of social media! I guess on a positive note I must have achieved some level of “influencer status”. 🤣.
