Besides the diplomatic problems, the incident showed that even high-altitude aircraft were vulnerable to Soviet surface-to-air missiles (SAM).
In response, the United States shifted its B-47, B-52, and B-58 bombers to high-speed, low-level operations and accelerated development of the supersonic F-111. It also sped up the Corona spy satellite program and the CIA’s Lockheed A-12 OXCART spyplane.

OTD: 1960 U2 incident: A USAF U-2 [56-6693] is shotdown by a Soviet SAM missile over Sverdlosk (USSR). Plane was on a spy flight, pilot Francis Gary Powers survived and was captured, causing diplomatic tensions between the US and USSR. Powers was traded by a Soviet Spy in 1962. 『改造車』に乗っているとハンマーでどつかれる可能性もあると言う当たり前の事を理解せずに改造車に乗ってる方も『令和』には多いと思います。
本来 不良の方が乗れる乗り物『改造車』を時代の流れで誰でも乗れるようなって自分が乗れてると言う事を自覚する事は大切だと思います。
僕も時代の流れでシビック乗れるようになった人間の1人です。
