Well as I recover from yet another surgery think it’s worth talking about mental health and participation in the market. The buildup/dread of this procedure has weighed on me and as a precaution I personally traded much less this week. I sort of have a few things going against me for mental health (haven’t been able to work out - physical health is big for me) and I know all too well how this can play into market interactions. Instead of pretending everything is normal, be honest with your self when your home life isn’t good, a negative personal event happens etc. and reduce your market activity. Goes without saying this in tandem with current market environment is key to preserving financial and mental capital. I still am observing, building screen time and sharpening the analysis side of things while I get back to a more normal for myself. Hope this helps at least one person out there going through something, wish you all the best.

“Instead of pretending everything is normal….” That segment is such great advice. I gained my daughter and lost my father in a span of 3 weeks last June & I was being delusional in thinking things were the same when emotionally/mentally I was all over the place. Rest up and get well brother 💪🏼

@TLAMB91 This is advice that every single trader should take. Know your limits. Lost a friend recently because he didnt and it broke him. This can be one of the most mentally draining things you will ever do. Get better and keep spitting this awesome advice.
