In late March I had the opportunity to join the TOAD (The Origin of Aeolian Dunes) project for a two-week field campaign at Great Sand Dunes National Park (GSD), Colorado. I thoroughly enjoyed gaining experience in the field and acquiring an insight into academic work.

On a more serious note, this course was fab - I never went away on university fieldwork because A) it was too many hours of pot wash to contemplate B) I was way too much of an anxious Annie! Hope this has given some the opportunity to dip their toe in😊
