We were due an off day & stifled by WBA’s 2 banks of 4. We have to be better at breaking lines, particularly on flanks. FB’s are key in football these days & RM & JB don’t beat a man & forces us to invert wing play. Easy to defend if passing isn’t quick & on point. #SaintsFC

We keep reverting to a hybrid back 3 & not using width properly. Azaz off the ball & on the ball has been a problem but others like She Charles just far too slow on the ball (Azaz needs to show for him more). Only chance came from Scienza beating man out wide. #SaintsFC

It’s basically a back 3 once again with fullbacks tucking in. We have limited passing options in MF so popping slow around the back again. We were firing long balls up to Archer but not to Larin?! Half press, sitting way too deep waiting to concede. #saintsfc

I was pro Azaz when he signed but his football intelligence is shocking. He drifts out wide forcing fullbacks to tuck in rather than go wide outside LS/TF. He’s never feeding off Ross. His passing & shooting are meh & he’s lazy! Not worth it for the odd goal. #SaintsFC

The diagonal hoofs are clearly something Tonda has thought will work in training. I’m stunned. The half pressing is what really annoys me. We just let them pass straight through every time. This isn’t a manager that’s watched the oppo & knows what he’s doing. #SaintsFC

@BigJimUTS Forget vice captain, I’d make him captain and Flynniesta vice. He’s so very clearly more comfortable in a back 4 and he’s the only player that wins headers both defensively and offensively. Jack Stephens far more prone to mistakes but has had 2 okay games.

Seen some on here suggesting THB should be vice captain to replace Armstrong I might be on my own here, but THB is poor. Honestly can’t see the appeal, he’s never been our first choice centre back and is very prone to mistakes His passing is the only plus imo #SaintsFC

@AlfieHouseEcho He’s greatly undervalued IMO. He’s never suited the back 3 but he’s proven in a back 4 (two promotions). He’s the only man that gets his head on the ball both defensively and offensively. We should be careful what we wish for as he’s better than some fans see. Think Bednarek
