Daniel Umejiego (2028) is a 6'6 athletic big who plays tough in the paint. He takes the ball into the chest of defenders, and finishes strong at the rim. This same grit comes through in his fight for boards as well, where he acts as a bruiser inside for this Greenwave squad.

Rayn Cram (2031) is a high potential point forward from Open Basketball. At 6'2 he shoots the ball at will, hitting at a high clip with no regard for coverage. He's a competitor and communicates well as a leader, never giving up on a play and showing poise with the ball.

(2030) 6’5 Raphael Ihunaegbo Jr has caught my attention today at the Cross Canada Invitational. He has shown an incredibly quick burst that allows him to get by defenders and finish above the rim. He is effective at all 3 levels and causing problem for much older defenders.

Okay, no word of a lie, THIS is the first kid who caught my attention at the Shayok Summer Showcase in Ottawa, ON. Walk in. Look left. See this 6’8 prospect crushing the eye test. (2028) Ishmael Carson puts the ball on the floor comfortably at his size, a real jumbo initiator.

A name you need to write down with permanent marker is (2028) 6’5 Guillaume Maltushi who recently committed to @CanadaTopflight He led 2/3 of the combine testing drills — vertical jump & lane agility. A physical specimen to say the least, I’m going to be monitoring closely.

When you talk about guys who rise to the occasion regardless of the 5 guys lining up on the opposite side of half — the person you’d be thinking of is (2027) 6’5 Dominick Toth. This kid can flat out go, put his young squad on his back & gave @lbahoops a fighting chance each game.

(2026) 6’3 Liam Kelk was impressive as hell for @ONLX_Basketball at the Shayok Summer Showcase. Shot the cover off the ball, just absolutely picking a part the defence & getting to his spots at will. Played at his own pace & wasn’t getting rattled by any opponent.

(2026) 6’4 Patrick Jr. Simeu caught my eye early on Saturday at the Shayok Summer Showcase combine portion of the event. Kid was dialled in from the first whistle. It was the little things like how serious he took the dynamic warmup. Has great positional size & frame at PG.

Probably the player I was most looking forward to seeing at the Shayok Summer Showcase was (2027) 6’6 Charles Tongue of Shayok Next Wave — kid did not disappoint, a no brainer standout prospect. Not going to blow you away with his size, but just a box checker supreme.
