Today Harvey competed in the Junior Kangaroo which is the lead on round from the Junior Maths Challenge. Harvey scored so well in the JMC that he was invited by the UKMT to compete in this additional challenge. Good luck Harvey! @TMWSOfficial

Our Year 11s are still using Sparx to prepare for their maths GCSE - with a huge amount of exam style questions with immediate feedback, it's the first place to go for some effective revision! Keep going Year 11! 🌟

More Sparx awards given out this week! Sparx is a personalised maths homework, proven to boost student grades. It challenges students to think carefully and develop resilience. These students have shown hard work by achieving their next award - we celebrate their success!

Continuing with the #MathsWeekEngland activites, we followed a video to fold an equilateral triangle from an A4 sheet of paper without needing a protractor, and then created these curves out of straight lines. @maths_week @TMWSOfficial

Some Year 8s tried to find the solution on Monday and were stumped! Maybe today's date is easier! #MathsWeekEngland @maths_week We had more success with the daily puzzles with prizes given to the first to solve them! @TMWSOfficial

This group of fabulous students took part in the @UKMathsTrust Senior Maths Challenge and have been awarded their certificates today. 5 Bronze and 1 Silver in a competition aimed at Year 13 students but are only in Year 11! Well done all!

This trio of hard working students were selected to represent TMWS in the @UKMathsTrust Maths Olympiad for Girls. Well done for your hard work! Shout out to their missing 4th competitor Keri who also achieved highest score in the school! @TMWSOfficial

A quick walk down the hill at lunchtime for some of the maths department, and our new maths teacher Mr McDonnell bagged himself a discarded bottle from the Tour of Britain! 🚲
