Nigerian-British Sisters Jane Adetoro, Christina and Rebecca Walter Found Dead in the Sea Off Brighton Beach Sussex Police have named the three women whose bodies were recovered from the sea off Brighton beach last week as sisters Jane Adetoro, 36, Christina Walter, 32, and Rebecca Walter, 31, from the Uxbridge area of northwest London. Emergency services were called to the area near Black Rock car park on Madeira Drive at around 5:45am on 13 May after reports of people in the water. The women, who were found fully clothed, are believed to have drowned. Police say they are treating the deaths as unexplained but have ruled out any criminality or third-party involvement following CCTV review and initial inquiries. Their father, Joseph Adetoro, paid a heartbreaking tribute, describing his daughters as “beloved” and saying their lives had ended “tragically far too soon”. The tragedy has shocked the local community, with flowers left at the scene. Police have urged the public not to speculate while their investigation, Operation Ledmore, continues.
