National Police Week and I want to take a moment to remember the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. I personally know too many whose names are on this wall. You are not forgotten.

Happy Mother’s Day to our mothers who put on the uniform everyday to serve our Tigard Community and our no -sworn. Did you know we exceed the national average of sworn women per department? To our moms in Tigard enjoy your day!

The Tigard Police Department send our thoughts and prayers to the Boulder community for the families of the people who lost their lives and for Officer Eric Talley who gave the ultimate sacrifice-his life trying to protect the community he served.

Today the trial of Derek Chauvin begins in Minneapolis. I want to acknowledge the grief and trauma our black community are feeling and the trial will keep the pain alive. My thoughts are with you. #BlackLivesMatter

Tonight’s incident appears to be over. I want to thank our area law enforcement partners for assisting us we could not have done this without them.

With unfolding events near the Police Department, I encourage residents in the area to stay indoors and report any suspicious activity.

It is with great sadness we share K9 Chase passed away on 12/2 due to an unexpected medical emergency. Thank you Chase for your service to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Washington County. We miss you already 💔

Our heart-felt appreciation goes out to all veterans and active-duty military members for their service and sacrifice to our country. We are honored to have TPD officers and staff who have bravely served. #VeteransDay

Mutual Aid among cities is vital as our criminals don’t care about boundaries. LOPD stopped by to recognize 3 TPD officers for their role in locating a subject wanted for attempted murder. Another dangerous person off the streets. ⁦@TigardPolice⁩

We wore purple today! On Wear Purple for DV Awareness Day, TPD staff including day and swing shift officers wore purple ribbons, masks & shirts to show support for survivors. Kudos to @CityofTigard Library staff & HR (photo below) for participating!

Fire crews alongside our Hazardous Materials Team are responding to a vehicle that left the roadway and struck a propane tank on Greenburg Road in Tigard. Initial 911 callers indicated the driver self extricated from the vehicle. Stay clear of area. #pdxalerts
