TPS officers are available 24/7 in every weather condition and are available when our great city needs them most. They worked closely with our first responder partners at @Toronto_Fire and @TorontoMedics throughout the snow storm and in the aftermath today.

Our thoughts are with the injured @DRPS officer who is in hospital after being shot while responding to a call, as well as with their family and colleagues. Officers face dangerous situations every day while serving their communities. At these moments we are always united as a policing family in support of the injured officer and all those impacted.

Our first Community Champion shout-out for 2026 goes out to Danny Durante, owner of the No Frills in Yorkgate Mall. Danny has always been the type of person who gives without expecting anything in return. Every Halloween he donates over 400 pumpkins to nearby elementary schools so kids can enjoy carving them. He regularly helps families in need with groceries, and every holiday season he gives away hundreds of turkeys and bags of potatoes to households in the neighborhood. He also sponsors a local soccer league, supporting kids who just want a chance to play. He never seeks any recognition. Everything he does is all for the love he has towards the community. He has been helping the community for so long everyone knows him by name. Danny is now also a member of our 31 Division Community Police Liaison Committee (CPLC). Welcome aboard Way to go Danny! Thank you for everything that you do. 👏🏽
