@HollyIfTrue @HS_News_2 Laser cages have predefined no go zones programmed in. They are literally programmed to avoid dropping into eyes/cameras. If you understand this, you'd know the inherent risk lasers pose on cameras, phones, and eyes. Youd know it takes a second for the damage to be done.

@HollyIfTrue @HS_News_2 What? No. There are endless articles you can look up to understand this. It doesnt burn the phone or user, it burns the extremely sensitive pixels. I also do this for a living. Theres a reason even wedding photogs wont use cameras during laser light shows.

@HollyIfTrue @HS_News_2 It takes a fraction of a second for the damage to occur because the beams are highly concentrated. Sometimes that will look like total burnout, like you see here, or it'll be specific dead pixels.

@TPWSnacks @HS_News_2 in this video theres 4 lasers that could be hitting the audience? although i cant see where they terminate so i cant say for certain. but even then, theyre scanning & arent staying concentrated in one place for a long time so i doubt they would be able to burn the sensor

@TPWSnacks @overgrownmillie @HS_News_2 usually photographers are only allowed to shoot the first 3 songs, especially with big artists like this so they've probably planned the laser shows to happen later OR the photographer has asked the lighting technician about whether or not they're planning on using lasers

@HollyIfTrue @HS_News_2 You can actively follow the lasers hitting the crowd back to their source in the video this post quoted. Also they arent blowing up phones, they're burning the sensor in the camera, which is a well documented thing.

@HS_News_2 i don't think this is true. all the lasers used on this show are zoned & pointing at the roof above the audience. if people's phone cameras are 'blowing up' due to the use of lasers, there's bigger fish to fry (which is literally getting set on fire)
