Still have my 4.0 in my Masters program. Not a single comment on a single assignment thus far has said anything about how well I understand the material, but a lot about how I fulfilled the requirements. So basically, you can get a Masters in education for just doing the work.

@JamesAFurey As a high school teacher, I fully agree. So many of my students are so addicted to their phones. Checking texts constantly contributes to the drama and fighting, and they obsess about who’s saying what and cannot even try to focus on learning.

All schools should enact phone bans. The data is in: they ruin education and make your kids depressed and anxious. Parents, you can make this easier: don’t feed the addiction all summer. If your kid is young, they shouldn’t have a phone. If they do, place real limits. This issue truly begins at home.
