When I first started going to church in the early 2000s, I was taken aback by how many of my new Christian friends would put their political preferences first and back religion into those social and political passions. That just seemed backwards - and still does. 1/3

This is a good point. I hadn't thought about it that way, @RealCarlAllen. Someone as savy as @Liz_Cheney would certainly have a sense about her own constituency and would want to represent their interests.

In this case, as a young man, Gidi was in the room when Ehud Barak and Yasser Arafat were trying to negotiate peace among Israelis and Palestinians from 1999 - 2001. Gidi's life work since that time as a "societal entrepreneur" has continued to advance the cause of peace... 2/4
