Lesson learnt

Notes came back in TAKAO: “This is a screenplay that is built on the very nature of story itself and the perspective shift that takes place in the second act is a bold move in a feature screenplay already loaded with bold moves.” BUT Holy moly, got a lot of work to do. #scared

Spent the week, thinking about voice, reassessing my best scripts, taking on board advice, waiting for notes. Decided to upgrade the poster for what I now feel is my best all round commercial action thriller and prepare another rewrite, second poster is the new version, too much?

1/4 Grey Listers, Stunt Listers, AFFers, may I ask for your help. I have three Scripts that I’d like to submit this year, more strategic, less spray and pray than last tear, I would really appreciate you letting me know if you think they are a good fit.

Right, after some really wonderful, supportive advice, while I wait for notes I’m looking at my portfolio and reflecting on which script has the biggest hook, the baddest villain, highest stakes, and off the chain set pieces while, being the best example of my voice on the page.

AFF is a crapshoot but strong writing and a great hook seems to get the readers. A twisty ending doesn’t hurt. Stunt List- needs to be a stunt, Originals Bureau though looks for great stories, unique characters Grey List- all of the above IMO Best of luck. They all sound terrific!
