This was Lebanon in the 1960s, when it was still a Christian country and known as the Paris of the Middle East. Lebanon was created to be a Christian homeland for persecuted Christians in the region. The real issue isn’t just ID or no ID. It’s trust in the system. Every voting system has two goals: Make voting accessible Make fraud difficult Push too far in either direction and you break the balance. The debate isn’t about one policy — it’s about where that balance should be.

No voter ID, especially when combined with mail-in ballots, means the system is engineered to make fraud impossible to prove. Everyone knows that you can barely get through your week without showing ID for the most banal activities, like shopping at Costco. The only reason to ban ID is to hide massive voter fraud.
