How much salt should actually be used on a driveway or sidewalk (if needed)? Less than 58 g/m2, as shown in this image. Avoiding the over application of salt can reduce the amount of chloride in local waterways and help protect fish and other aquatic wildlife. #LessSalty

Toronto Remedial Action Plan (RAP)
The river valley will add 16 hectares of new parkland and riverfront open space and 14 hectares of new aquatic habitat and wetlands to improve biodiversity, water quality and moderate the effects of flooding and erosion. @AquaticHabTO

A groundbreaking ceremony on Nov 28 has marked the start of excavation of a 1 km river valley, a natural spillway, and new mouth for the Don River. TRCA is pleased to be part of the Port Lands Flood Protection project that will provide flood protection for 290 hectares of land!
