Calling my Bank friends dealing sovereign curves, credit spreads, and derivatives risk to have a serious look. @FalconXGlobal has just executed the first Ethereum Staking Forward Rate Agreement (FRA), referencing @TreehouseFi 's TESR benchmark. The start of a standardized interest-rate market on-chain. 🔹 TESR (Treehouse Ethereum Staking Rate), published under the DOR framework, provides a transparent, consensus-based reference for validator yields, an ETH “base rate,” akin to SOFR or LIBOR. 🔹 Forwards on TESR allow institutions to hedge, speculate, or structure products around ETH yields, bridging traditional fixed income with DeFi. 🔹 Standardized documentation and recurring participation open the door to liquidity formation, interest rate swaps, and structured on-chain credit products. 🔹 This also positions Ethereum closer to a sovereign bond system: predictable issuance, a reference yield curve, and the foundation for a derivatives market. In the 90s, Singapore’s bond market was built the same way: sovereign benchmarks, corporate issuance, then derivatives. That process turned infrastructure into a global hub. Ethereum is undergoing the same evolution globally, but now permissionless, and programmable. Congratulations to FalconX and Treehouse Labs for pushing this frontier forward and delivering on the vision. Early participants like Algoquant , @EdgeCapitalMgmt, @monarq_mgmt, @LeadBlockP, @Bitpanda_global , @MEVCapital, @mirana, @moonvault_mvp, @Rockaway_X , @wavedigital_ , @jpegtrading and Gallet Capital reflect how both digital natives and traditional fixed-income institutions are converging around this benchmark. For banks and investors with deep emerging-markets fixed income expertise, the playbook is familiar. wen DOR adoption? Rate derivatives in the 1980s were once the smallest corner of finance; until benchmark rates like LIBOR quietly grew them into the largest markets in the world. The same story is about to unfold here. Today, we’re excited to share that FalconX, the largest institutional digital assets prime broker, just launched, in partnership with Treehouse, the first live market for ETH staking rate forwards, benchmarked to our Treehouse Ethereum Staking Rate (TESR).
