A Journey of Courage, Pain, and Hope: Our Battle Against Cancer! It’s hard to put into words the rollercoaster of emotions that my family and I have been through over the past 9 months. This year began with uncertainty and fear, as in January 2024, my wife (TSG) started showing symptoms that we couldn’t quite place. Life has a way of throwing the most unexpected challenges your way when you least expect it, and that’s exactly what happened to us. On 24th February 2024, our world turned upside down when we began my wife’s treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma - a type of blood cancer that affects white blood cells called lymphocytes. The diagnosis was a punch in the gut, but what followed was even more grueling: a treatment plan that tested her strength, our patience, and our will to fight for every precious day. Her tumor was large - 13.0 x 4.5 x 9.0 cm - and her treatment was aggressive. From February to July 2024, she underwent 6 cycles of chemotherapy, with each cycle consisting of two sessions spaced two weeks apart. I can’t begin to describe the pain and fatigue she endured. Chemotherapy was unforgiving, stripping her of energy, her hair, and at times her will to push forward. Yet, through it all, she never gave up. Even when the side effects were at their worst, she kept fighting with a resilience that left me in awe! After the chemo, she had to go through 17 sessions of IMRT radiation therapy, one every day (except weekends). By this point, her body was battered, yet her spirit remained strong. Radiation came with its own set of challenges, but she met them head-on, just as she had with everything else. I can’t speak about this journey without mentioning the toll it took on our entire family. Our little girl, who turned three in July, often didn’t understand why mommy wasn’t feeling well or why we couldn’t play as much as before. Trying to shield her from the harsh reality while also making sure her world still felt normal was one of the hardest things we had to manage. There were moments when the weight of it all felt crushing. My parents and in-laws have been our pillars of support, stepping in when things got overwhelming. Seeing your loved ones suffer is never easy, and watching them try to stay strong for us while their own hearts broke was humbling. This disease didn’t just affect my wife - it impacted all of us in ways we never imagined! Now, on 24th September 2024, I can say, with immense gratitude and relief, that her treatment is finally over. She has responded well, and the light at the end of this dark tunnel is finally shining bright. We are cautiously optimistic about the future, and she’s doing fine now, but the scars - both emotional and physical - will remain. This journey has taught me the importance of getting the right diagnosis and proper treatment. It’s not enough to simply hope things will get better - you need to fight for the right care. We were lucky to have a team of doctors who acted quickly and with precision, but I know not everyone is as fortunate. That’s why it’s so crucial to be vigilant, to seek second opinions, and to never settle for uncertainty. To everyone reading this, I hope our story serves as a reminder to cherish every moment you have with your loved ones. Life is fragile, and we never know when it will test us in ways we cannot imagine. But it also shows that with the right support, the right treatment, and a whole lot of courage, even the darkest days can end in hope. A special note of thanks goes to the incredible team of doctors, nurses, and support staff who have been there for us every step of the way. Your unwavering dedication, care, and expertise gave us the strength to keep going, and we are forever grateful for everything you’ve done. Thank you for giving us hope when we needed it the most. Thank you to everyone who has been there for us, and to my incredible wife - you are the strongest person I know. I am in awe of your courage, and I am grateful every day that we get to walk this road together. We’ve made it through the hardest part. And for that, I am forever thankful! 🙏

🚨 If your Startup Pitch Deck can’t answer THIS...don’t ask for funding! Based on my interaction with multiple founders and investors, one thing is painfully clear: Most pitch decks don’t fail because the idea is bad. They fail because the story is weak, numbers are shallow, and clarity is missing. If you are raising funds, your deck is not a presentation. It’s a decision-making weapon. Here’s what investors actually expect...👇 🎯 1. Problem that hurts (not just exists) If the problem doesn’t feel urgent, your startup won’t feel necessary. Make investors feel the pain, not just understand it. 💡 2. Solution that is 10x, not incremental “Better” is boring. “Different & defensible” gets funded. 📊 3. Market Size (No fantasy TAMs please) Throwing a ₹10 lakh crore TAM won’t impress anyone. Show: Realistic Serviceable Market, Clear entry wedge, & why you can capture it. 💰 4. Business Model = How money actually flows If revenue logic is unclear, trust disappears instantly. Break it down simply: Who pays? How much? How often? 🚀 5. Traction (Even small > zero) No traction? Then show: Strong user love, Pilot success, Early validation. Because execution beats ideas. Every time. 🧠 6. Founder-Market Fit (This is underrated) Why you? Not your degree. Not your designation. Your unfair advantage. 📈 7. Financials that are believable Hockey stick graphs don’t excite investors anymore. They raise red flags. Instead show: Assumptions, Unit economics, Path to profitability. ⚔️ 8. Competition (Don’t say “we have none”) If there’s no competition, there’s no market. Show: Who exists, Where they fall short, Your edge. 🛣️ 9. Go-To-Market Strategy (This is where most fail) “Digital marketing” is not a strategy. “How exactly will you acquire your first 1000 customers & retain them?” Answer this. 💸 10. Ask & Use of Funds (Be precise) Not: “We need ₹5 Cr for growth.” But: ₹X for product, ₹Y for sales, ₹Z for expansion. Clarity builds confidence. 🔥 Final Truth: Investors are not buying your idea. They are buying: Your clarity, Your conviction, & Your capability to execute! 💭 My Take: A great pitch deck doesn’t try to impress. Instead, it removes doubt & provides clarity! #Startups #Fundraising #PitchDeck #Entrepreneurship #Investing #VentureCapital #Founders #StartupIndia #BusinessStrategy

Markets Don’t Move in Straight Lines, And That’s the Beauty of Finance! For years, many investors have believed that markets only go in one direction i.e. up. But finance has a way of reminding us that cycles are real. Recently, the Nifty 50 has shown signs of technical stress with patterns like long term trendline breaks and potential double tops appearing on higher timeframe charts. While this may worry short term traders, seasoned investors know that such phases are a natural part of market evolution. Corrections are not failures of the market. They are mechanisms of balance. They: • Reset excessive valuations • Shake out weak hands • Create opportunities for disciplined investors In finance, patience often outperforms prediction. The real question investors should ask is not “Why is the market falling?” but rather: “Am I prepared to take advantage of the cycle?” Because in every correction lies the seed of the next opportunity. Volatility creates fear for some, and opportunity for others! #Finance #StockMarket #Investing #MarketCycles #Nifty50

Very thoughtful post. Wing Commander Vijaykumar Narayan Sapre was my uncle, and I have many fond memories of him. He was extremely grounded and disciplined in his day-to-day life. Thank you for sharing this inspiring post and remembering him so respectfully. Hrishikesh Sapre.
Anchit Gupta@AnchitGupta9

Gp Capt Vijay Kumar Narayan Sapre passed away yesterday at the age of 80. A Vir Chakra awardee from the IPKF operations, he was one of those helicopter leaders who carried the weight of the campaign on his shoulders. The Jaffna University helidrop, launched at midnight on 12 October, was the opening blow of Operation Pawan, a fast Mi-8 assault by 109 HU carrying 10 Para Commandos and 13 Sikh Light Infantry to the LTTE’s tactical headquarters. The aim was to decapitate the leadership and shorten the war. Wg Cdr V K N Sapre, commanding 109 HU, led the first wave in blackout conditions and put the initial sticks of Para Commandos on the ground. As they tried to secure the landing ground, they were pinned by heavy LTTE fire. Subsequent waves met a transformed battlefield. Heavy machine guns and RPGs now covered the approach. Sapre and his crews flew repeated shuttles under intense fire, landing troops, adjusting loads and coaxing damaged Mi-8s back to Palali. By the end of the night, his helicopter had suffered hydraulic damage and others had shot undercarriages, missing panels and fuselages peppered with bullet holes. On the ground, the Para Commandos were isolated and surrounded by hundreds of LTTE fighters. The Sikh Light Infantry detachment was virtually wiped out, with only one survivor, Sepoy Gora Singh, taken prisoner. The Paras were eventually rescued after fierce fighting by a relief force that included SF troops and a tank column. Ten gallantry awards followed, but the losses of 13 Sikh LI and 10 Para marked the night forever. Through it all, Sapre flew three of the most dangerous missions of the operation. His Vir Chakra citation records 150 sorties in theatre, seventy six during the hostile phase, and honours the quiet, relentless bravery that defines helicopter operations in war. Vijay Kumar Narayan Sapre belonged to the 98 Pilots Course and came through the NDA. He began flying with 104 HU in 1968. He later served as a flying instructor in Iraq, became Flight Commander of the AEB Helicopter Flight, commanded 109 HU from 1987 to 1989, served as Station Commander at Mohanbari (42 Wing) from 1991 to 1993, and then took over as Commanding Officer of the Helicopter Training School from 1993 to 1996. He retired as a Group Captain on 31 August 1997. May he rest in peace. #IAFHistory @IAF_MCC

Budget will be presented on 1st Feb. Here’s how traders are taxed multiple times 👇 👉 2004 (UPA): STT introduced   ↳ Govt exempted LTCG on equities in return 👉2018 (NDA): LTCG tax reintroduced   ↳ STT was kept as is 👉2024: STT & capital gains both were hiked Result: Your post income tax money is taxed on entry (STT) and on profit (CGT) plus there is GST, stamp duty, exchange charges, cess and what not! This is triple taxation, not reform. STT was meant to replace LTCG, not coexist forever. Raise your voices and be heard so that taxes rationalisation happens. #AbolishSTT #AbolishLTCG
