Is Xbox trying to eliminate all physical copies from their environment? If this rumor is true, your physical copy will be worthless and unplayable once you digitize your copy. This is worse than what @Playstation is doing, and all XBOX PLAYERS should be extremely upset about it. All console companies are intentionally pushing the whole market to digital gaming, to close systems, for more control and exploitation of their customers. And last but not least, Playstation players are not going to be more upset, we all must unite, Playstation and Xbox players, to stop this abuse and exploitation of gamers!

It's literally stating you can basically let them borrow the game, but the moment you re-install the game they'd lose access. The only reason this would be an issues is if you're trying to load all your friends a free copy to keep.

How? Simple, the license follows the user not the game. Do you understand what that means? If the game is downloaded in your Xbox and your friend borrows the disk to play with you, YOU CAN'T. Your game won't work. In the near future, once your game is downloaded, it won't work anywhere else. And the physical copy will be worthless. Why? Because XBOX DECIDED IT!,

@colepeyton79 @xMBGx You can set up your PC to have the console experience. I have my T.V. set up as my second monitor and play my games there, and Steam's Big Picture mode does a serviceable enough job to make it feel more like a console experience. I also still use a controller, so no need for M&K.

Question: If PlayStation goes all digital and the only way you can buy games is through their closed storefront/ecosystem... wouldn't it just make sense for gamers to seriously consider Steam at that point since it has much better customer service and support?

Mark my words. Sony going fully digital would end up costing them MORE in the long run then if they were to print physcial. Money to keep the servers up FOERVER, keeping support and access to the digital titles FOREVER etc. With all the new consumer protection laws for digital titles coming out it's going to cost them to keep digital a thing🤣

Brazil is officially joining the Stop Killing Games conversation. Congresswoman Jandira Feghali has introduced Bill 3612/2026, inspired by the Stop Killing Games movement. If passed, game publishers would have to ensure players can keep playing their games even after official support ends. The bill would also update Brazil’s Consumer Protection Code to better cover digital games. This comes just days after Congresswoman Erika Hilton called for an investigation into Sony’s plan to stop releasing new PlayStation games on physical discs
